It’s a known fact that actor Robert De Niro has chronic TDS, but the length he will go to spout hatred at Trump and those who support him never ceases to amaze.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, De Niro not only referred to Trump as a “nasty little b*ch” and a “petulant punk” but attacked his followers as “crazy” in a rant fueled by his hatred of our president.
See for yourself:
De Niro also said that he would never play the role of Donald Trump in a movie during the interview with The New York Times.
Here's more from De Niro's interview with The New York Times:
Could you find your way into the character of President Trump? I wouldn’t want to play him. He’s such an awful person. There’s nothing redeemable about him, and I never say that about any character.
You found redemptive qualities in Travis Bickle, and you’re saying you couldn’t do the same if you were playing President Trump? I can’t compare. There’s not one moment that Trump said: “I’m sorry. I realize I’ve done something that I shouldn’t have done.” He has not one speck of redeemability in him. He’s not owed one speck of redeemability.
People have argued that some of Trump’s rhetoric has emboldened others to make threats or enact violence. Those arguments are not a world away from ones that people made about Travis Bickle or “Joker.” Do you think those arguments hold water? They might, but Trump has people who follow him who are crazy and want to do crazy things. What we’re doing in film, it’s like a dream. We know it’s not real. There are people who will take anything to be real and that we have no control over. The president is supposed to set an example of trying to do the right thing. Not be a nasty little bitch. Because that’s what he is. He’s a petulant little punk. There’s not one thing that I see in him or his family, not any redeeming qualities. They’re out on the take. It’s like a gangster family.
Breitbart had more to say:
Leftist actor Robert de Niro attacked President Donald Trump as a “nasty little bitch” and vowed never to portray the president on screen in a wide-ranging interview released Saturday.
Speaking to the New York Times, de Niro, one of President Trump’s most virulent Hollywood critics, explained he would never agree to play the president because he believes he’s an “awful person” with “nothing redeemable about him.”
“I never say that about any character,” The Irishman star then claimed.
Robert De Niro also lashed out at President Trump’s supporters, stating he has “people who follow him who are crazy and want to do crazy things.”
“Trump has people who follow him who are crazy and want to do crazy things. What we’re doing in film, it’s like a dream. We know it’s not real,” the 76-year-old judged. “There are people who will take anything to be real and that we have no control over.”
“The president is supposed to set an example of trying to do the right thing. Not be a nasty little bitch. Because that’s what he is. He’s a petulant little punk,” he fumed. “There’s not one thing that I see in him or his family, not any redeeming qualities. They’re out on the take. It’s like a gangster family.”
De Niro’s remarks come after he floated South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg as possible White House candidates that could defeat President Trump in 2020.
