Trump Promises FISA Report Will Be “Historic” & Expose “Biggest Scandal In U.S. History”

President Trump has broken his silence on reports saying that an Obama FBI official is currently under investigation for altering “Spygate”-related documents.

And, he seems to be implying that this FBI official isn’t gonna be the only one implicated once the FISA report is dropped Dec. 9th!

On the phone with Fox & Friends on Friday, President Trump sent out a warning to Obama, Clinton, and any others who might have played a key role in what Trump is called “the biggest scandal in U.S. history” that went all the way to the top.

In President Trump’s own words,

“This was spying on my campaign, something that has never been done in the history of our country.

This was an overthrow attempt at the presidency. They tried to overthrow the presidency. This is a disgrace…I’m not surprised to see it. It is just starting to come up. I think this is nothing compared to what you will see next couple of weeks. These people are sick.

What you’re going to see I predict will be perhaps the biggest scandal in the history of our country, political scandal… And we’ll see what happens. But I’ll tell you what, you have a lot of very, very bad people. You know a lot of people say deep state. I don’t like to use the word deep state. I say they’re really bad, sick, people.”

More on this, from Fox News:

President Trump said Friday that Democrats "looked like fools" during the public impeachment inquiry hearings this week and predicted that the release of Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report on allegations of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant abuse will be "historic."

In a phone interview on "Fox & Friends" with hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade, the president said that his controversial July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was a "good conversation."

"And these were their witnesses. This was the best they've got," he continued, calling House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., a "sick puppy."

"So, you have a FISA report coming out, which the word is, it's historic. That's what the word is That's what I hear," said Trump.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News Wednesday that the report is set to be released on Dec. 9.

"Now, what you're going to see, I predict, will be perhaps the biggest scandal in the history of our country," the president continued, noting that he is letting Attorney General William Barr "handle it."

"And, if it's historic, you're going to see something. And then, perhaps even more importantly, you have [John Durham's report] coming out shortly thereafter -- the U.S. attorney -- and he's already announced it's criminal," he added.

"I'll tell you what, you have a lot of very bad people," Trump concluded, repeatedly accusing top-level Obama administration officials of authorizing "spying" on his 2016 campaign.

The Daily Mail also had the following to say:

Donald Trump on Friday suggested Barack Obama directed an effort to cheat the FISA system in order to spy on his 2016 campaign.

'Personally I think it goes all the way,' the president said on 'Fox & Friends.'

'They were spying on my campaign and it went all the way to the top and everybody knows it and now we're going to find out,' he noted.

He also predicted the revelations that come out of Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz's review of the origins of the Russia probe will be the 'biggest scandal in the history of our country.'

Horowitz is set to release his report next month but CNN reported his probe has resulted in a criminal investigation into an FBI official suspected of 'altering' a document in the warrant application to survey former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

‘What you’re going to see – I predict – will be perhaps the biggest scandal in the history of our country - political scandal,' Trump told Fox News.

He called the surveillance of his 2016 campaign an attempt to overthrow the presidency. Trump has long argued a 'deep state' working inside the government tried to keep him from winning the election.

'This was an overthrow attempt at the presidency. They tried to over the presidency.  This is a disgrace. I'm not surprised to see it. This is just starting to come out. I think it's nothing compared to what you'll see over the next few weeks. These people are sick,' he said.

'You have a lot of very very bad people. And you know a lot of people say deep state, I don’t like to use deep state so I just say really bad and sick people,' Trump said.

‘Are you suggesting it could actually go up into the West Wing of the Obama administration?’ Fox News' Steve Doocy asked him.

‘Well you're dealing at the highest levels of government. They were spying on my campaign. This is my opinion. I said it a long time ago,' Trump said.

Before his 'Fox & Friends' interview, Trump reacted to the report on Page's FISA application on social media. 'Hello, here we go!' he tweeted.

The alleged document-tampering into the warrant application for Page was uncovered during Horowitz's probe into the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation, and subsequently referred to U.S. Attorney John Durham for criminal investigation, CNN reported on Thursday.

The FBI sought and was granted a FISA warrant In October 2016 to survey Page's communications and access all of his stored emails and texts. Such warrants are issued by special federal courts convened in secret to make decisions about the application of the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

To obtain the warrant, the FBI had to convince a judge there that probable cause existed that Page was a foreign agent. The 90-day warrant was renewed three times, but Page has never been charged with any crime.
