Adam Schiff: Trump-Ukraine Transcript “Far More Damning” Than He Imagined

I don’t know what transcript he read, but Adam Schiff’s reaction to the full, unredacted release of the Trump-Ukraine call transcript is overblown, to say the least.

According to Schiff, the transcript that showed only that President Trump was trying to stop corruption in a call he made to the President of the Ukraine, was “far more damning” than he imagined.

Schiff also gave a dramatic "re-telling" of the transcript, of which NONE of what he claimed was in the real transcript.

According to Schiff, "the essence" of what President Trump said on the call with Ukrainian President Zelensky went like this:

“We’ve been very good to your country. Very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what? I don’t see much reciprocity here. I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you, though. And I’m gonna say this only seven times, so you better listen good.”

“I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand, lots of it. On this and on that. I’m going to put you in touch with people...and by the way don’t call me again. I’ll call you when you’ve done what I asked.”

Here's that clip:

Now, is Schiff lying or delusional?

As Ryan Saavedra said:

Others are rightfully calling Schiff's portrayal of the Trump-Zelensky call "unhinged Orange Man Bad fanfiction!"

Others have pointed out that Schiff's portrayal of the call and extreme playing up of how it went down to make Trump look like a mafia leader is just further evidence of Democrat desperation to get Trump out of office, no matter the cost to their own dignities!

Townhall gave some more insight into the Democrat "Impeachment Circus" and Adam Schiff's role in it:

President Donald Trump is in the impeachment crosshairs. House Democrats have finally launched their three-year-long project to get this president for merely winning the 2016 election. We all knew this was going to happen. In 2018, the Democrats retook the House based on stopping Trump. They tried to get a reason to impeach from the Trump-Russia collusion myth, but there wasn’t enough. And by that, I mean there was zero evidence to prove the Trump team colluded with the Kremlin. They waited. And now we have this second-hand account from some whistleblower with political bias against the president who alleged that Trump shook down the Ukrainian president, pressuring him to open a corruption investigation into Hunter Biden, son of former Vice President Joe Biden, in exchange for military aid. That was proven false by the administration’s release of the call. There is no favor. In fact, the favor centers on Trump asking the Ukrainians to help the Department of Justice’s probe into the origins of the Russia investigation.

Acting Director of National Intelligence John Maguire is now testifying before the House Intelligence Committee, where Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), in his opening remarks, re-wrote the transcript to make Trump sound like a mob boss. This is the lengths the Left will go to get Trump, just making stuff up. Is it shocking? No. We all know Democrats lie, but the extent and breadth that is has taken post-2016 are notable.

Newsweek also commented:

emocratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California is taking heat from Republicans after he took some artistic license paraphrasing the transcript of President Donald Trump's call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Speaking in his role as the chair of the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday, Schiff attempted to parody the president's comments in the call during a hearing on the whistleblower's complaint that helped bring Trump's call with Zelensky—in which the U.S. leader appeared to ask the Ukranian president to investigate 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son—to light.

"This is the essence of what the president communicates," Schiff said: "We've been very good to your country. Very good. No other country has done as much as we have. But you know what, I don't see much reciprocity here."

"I hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you, though and I'm gonna say this only seven times, so you better listen good," Schiff continued, parodying Trump. "I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of it... on this and on that."

"I'm gonna put you in touch with people and not just any people. I'm gonna put you in touch with the Attorney General of the United States...Bill Barr. He's got the whole weight of the American law enforcement behind him and I'm gonna put you in touch with Rudy. You're gonna love him, trust me," he said. "You know what I'm asking, so I'm only going to say this a few more times in a few more ways. And by the way, don't call me again; I'll call you when you've done what I asked."

Closing out his pastiche, Schiff said: "This is in sum and character what the president was trying to communicate with the president of Ukraine."

While some muffled laughter could be heard throughout Schiff's speech, Republicans took to Twitter to condemn the parody. Kayleigh McEnany, national press secretary for Trump's 2020 campaign, hit out at the California representative for having "literally just made up his own transcript."
