Elijah Cummings Leading Democrat Probe Into Mike Pence’s Stay In Ireland

Here we go again…

Democrat’s don’t know when to quit.

Every attempt to dig up dirt on President Trump to push for impeachment has fell through, so now, apparently, Dems are turning their focus onto VP Mike Pence.

Rep. Elijah Cummings is leading the probe into Pence’s stay at President Trump’s Ireland resort, apparently out of suspicion that “U.S. taxpayer funds” are being “used to personally enrich President Trump, his family, and his companies,” according to the letter Cummings wrote explaining why he is opening the probe.

Take a look at the Dems’ latest attempt to find evidence to support their hatred of Trump and his administration that is hitting big over at Twitter:

The Washington Examiner has more details on the probe into Pence's visit to Trump's Ireland property:

House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings sent letters to White House officials on Thursday asking for more information regarding Vice President Mike Pence's recent stay at Trump's property in Ireland.

The letters, obtained by the Washington Examiner, were sent to U.S. Secret Service Director James Murray, Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg, Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, and Pence's Chief of Staff Marc Short.

"The Committee is seeking information about Vice President Mike Pence's stay earlier this week at the Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, Ireland — 180 miles away from the Vice President's official meetings with Irish officials in Dublin," Cummings' letter states. "The Committee does not believe that U.S. taxpayer funds should be used to personally enrich President Trump, his family, and his companies."

Short first told reporters Trump suggested, not ordered, Pence to stay at his resort. When asked about the hotel stay, Pence cited his family ties to the country for staying in Doonbeg.

The Daily Caller added:

House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings said on Friday that he will be opening a probe into Vice President Mike Pence’s recent stay at President Donald Trump’s resort in Ireland.

Cummings sent over letters to the White House, U.S. Secret Service, Trump Organization, Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, and Pence’s Chief of Staff Marc Short, according to The Washington Examiner.

“The Committee is seeking information about Vice President Mike Pence’s stay earlier this week at the Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, Ireland — 180 miles away from the Vice President’s official meetings with Irish officials in Dublin,” Cummings’ wrote in the letter. “The Committee does not believe that U.S. taxpayer funds should be used to personally enrich President Trump, his family, and his companies.”
