What is going on with Joe Biden?
Adding on to the countless gaffes Joe has made since the start of his campaign for 2020 Democrat presidential candidate that have lead some to speculate that he has early on-set dementia, Biden’s eye appeared to BLEED during a CNN town hall about climate change yesterday.
Is this guy alright?
See for yourself in this clip:
As of now, we don't know why 76-year-old Joe Biden's eye was full of blood during the speaking event, but that hasn't stopped the Twitter speculation!
This Twitter user gave Joe yet another nickname based on his eye that is just downright hilarious:
But seriously, what is going on with all of these politicians falling apart before our eyes?
Remember German leader Angela Merkel's shaking fits, too?
Now we have Joe Biden with his bloody eye.
What do you think?
Is it another health cover-up, a coincidence, or something else?
Is Joe fit to run for presidency?
The Washington Examiner has more to say:
Former Vice President Joe Biden appeared to have a blood vessel burst in his left eye while participating in CNN's town hall on climate change.
A broken blood vessel in the eye, also known as a subconjuctival hemorrhage, can be caused by several things, including high blood pressure, bleeding disorders, blood thinners, or even excessive straining.
Biden, 76, has long been plagued by health issues. In 1988, he suffered an aneurysm that burst and required him to undergo emergency surgery. The then-senator was so close to death that a Catholic priest began preparing to administer the sacrament of last rites.
Months later, surgeons clipped a second aneurysm before it burst. Biden then took a seven-month leave from the Senate following the surgery. Describing the operation, he once said, “They literally had to take the top of my head off.”Jill Biden said in her recently released autobiography Where the Light Enters that, at the time, she feared her husband would never be the same. "Our doctor told us there was a 50-50 chance Joe wouldn't survive surgery," she wrote. "He also said that it was even more likely that Joe would have permanent brain damage if he survived. And if any part of his brain would be adversely affected, it would be the area that governed speech."
Heavy gave more insight:
Joe Biden’s eye appeared to be bleeding during a CNN town hall on climate change. Eagle-eyed viewers took to Twitter to express concern about the bloody eye.
While others questioned whether photos on Twitter of Biden’s bloody eye were photoshopped, here’s video that shows that Joe Biden’s eye does appear to be bleeding or bloody during the CNN town hall. Washington Examiner reportedthat Biden’s eye appeared to have a burst blood vessel during the CNN town hall on September 4, 2019. You can watch the video and judge for yourself.
People took to Twitter to comment. “@JoeBiden What happened to your eye?” wrote one Twitter user. “Can’t turn a blind eye but Joe sure can turn a bloody one,” wrote another. Another wrote: “remember when lebron james in his final season with the cavs played the entirety of the finals with a broken finger and a bloody eye? this is how i’m choosing to view the joe biden campaign in this moment.”
After the town hall, Biden tweeted, “We can’t turn a blind eye to the way in which environmental burdens are distributed unevenly along racial and socioeconomic lines. Biden will right these wrongs and stand up to fossil fuel companies who disproportionately harm communities of color and low-income communities.”
Joe Biden’s age could become an issue on the campaign trail. The former vice president is 76-years-old. He was born on November 20, 1942. However, President Donald Trump is no spring chicken, either. Donald Trump is 73-years-old. Rounding out the geriatric presidential contenders, one must not forget Bernie Sanders. He’s older than Biden actually; he’s 77. Elizabeth Warren is 70.
What can cause a bleeding or bloody eye? Of course, one shouldn’t try to diagnose a person, including Biden, over the Internet. However, WebMD does report that a broken blood vessel in the eye is sometimes called a “Subconjunctival Hemorrhage.”
