Following Texas Shooting, Chick-fil-A Employees Worked Late To Make Sure First Responders Had Food

This is why Chick-fil-A is America’s #1 fast food restaurant: the company and everyone who works there seems to hold true to real American values, unlike the vast majority of businesses jumping on the liberal bandwagon.

That, and their food is top-tier as far as fast food goes!

And, here’s another reason to love Chick-fil-A.

Following the Texas mass drive-by shootings on Saturday, the employess at two Chick-fil-A restaurants in Odessa stayed late to make 500 sandwiches for the first responders to make sure they did not go hungry.

10 News San Diego has more details on the selfless actions the Odessa Chick-fil-A team displayed in the wake of tragedy:

Chick-fil-A in Odessa saw an opportunity to help the community after the mass shooting in west Texas shooting on Saturday.

The restaurant went on Facebook to post about their act of kindness.

According to the post, Chick-fil-A planned to close early following the shooting so employees could be with their families. However, as the employees walking out, the restaurant saw an opportunity to feed local law enforcement.

The team was given an option to help, and no one said no.

MyFox8 added:

One of the restaurants planned to close early to allow the workers to be with their families.

But when the opportunity to help local law enforcement came up, none of the workers said no.

“Sometimes light in a dark world looks as simple as a hot chicken sandwich,” the Chick-fil-A Facebook post says. “We just couldn’t be prouder of these helpers and their hearts of gold.”
