AOC Supports Fundraiser For Antifa-Associated Protestors

AOC’s latest controversy centers around the Democrat socialist New York representative taking the side of domestic terrorists!

On Saturday, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted out to her followers urging them to donate to fund for a group of protestors that were arrested at a “Straight Pride” parade in Boston.

The “Straight Pride” march was a demonstration to counter LGBT pride parades and advocate “on behalf of the straight community.”

This of course triggered liberals and attracted left-wing counter-protestors who got violent at the event, leading to the arrest of 36 individuals for “assault and battery.”

Many of these arrested protestors identified as members of Antifa – the far-left organization that has been wreaking havoc and savagely assaulting civilians whose political beliefs differ from theirs.

Let that sink in.

These are the people that AOC – who claims to be a representative of the American people – promotes.

See for yourself in this tweet from AOC’s Twitter page:

Conservative journalist Andy Ngo, who was brutally attacked in Portland by Antifa, pointed out that another member of AOC's squad, Ayanna Pressley, also supports the fundraiser for the arrested protestors:

The Daily Caller has more to say about AOC's apparent siding with Antifa:

New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez promoted a fundraiser for bail money for a group of counter-protesters that included Antifa members after a “Straight Pride” parade in Boston, Massachusetts, this weekend.

“One way to support the local LGBTQ community impacted by Boston’s white supremacist parade? Contribute to the Bail Fund for the activists who put themselves on the line protecting the Boston community,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez said in a social media post Saturday.

Her post linked to a fundraiser that seeks to help counter-protesters from the “Straight Pride” event with “any legal fees, as well as supplies for jail support (rides home, food, changes of clothes, etc).”

Indeed, arrests did occur. 36 individuals were arrested Saturday with numerous charges of “Assault and battery on a police officer,” and one juvenile arrested for “Assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon,” according to the Boston Herald.

Reports from the USA Today and the Herald indicate that many counter-protesters identified with Antifa, a far-left group that embraces violence to achieve political goals.

One member of Antifa told the Herald, “We’re covered in black so when we attack these guys we can’t be prosecuted.”

“They are fascists, 100%. How else are you going to get them to shut up?” he was quoted as saying.

Boston Herald also stated:

U.S. Reps. Ayanna Pressley and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, members of the so-called “squad” of new left-wing congresswomen, are backing the anti-Straight Pride protesters accused of assaulting cops and the marchers, and touting a fund for their defense.

An online fundraiser initiated by the Lucy Parsons Center, a Jamaica Plain anarchist bookstore, has raised more than $24,000 for the legal costs of the 36 people arrested at the Straight Pride Parade, including nine charged with assaulting cops.

Pressley, who represents much of Boston, Cambridge and Somerville, retweeted a link to the fund and told reporters in Boston Monday, “I don’t think they should have been arrested, and that’s why I’ve been promoting a bail fund to support them. … They were protesting a racist, fascist, demonstration.”

Ocasio-Cortez, of New York City, tweeted a link and wrote, “One way to support the local LGBTQ community impacted by Boston’s white supremacist parade? Contribute to the Bail Fund for the activists who put themselves on the line protecting the Boston community.”
