Talk about digging a deep hole….
The infamous AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is now supporting a fundraiser for ANTIFA “protestors”….and anyone else for that matter who wants to disrupt the “Straight Pride” event in Boston.
And she’s promoting it directly on her Twitter page!
This is really something, take a look:
From the Fundraising Page itself, here's how they describe the fundraiser:
Known fascists and white supremacists, under the front organization Super Happy Fun America, are descending on Boston for “Straight Pride” on Saturday, 8/31. As we have for the last 3 years, Boston will repel them with beautiful and bold direct action! In preparation for possible unplanned arrests, we are raising $2500 to cover any legal fees, as well as supplies for jail support (rides home, food, changes of clothes, etc).
If we raise more than we use, the excess will be split between the Mass Bail Fund, which frees thousands people from lock up annually while organizing to end money bail, and Boston GLASS, which provides a drop in center, mentoring, and more to QTPOC youth.
I don't even know where to start with this.
Maybe I'm just not that smart, but what does a "Straight Pride" event have to do with "white supremacy"?
That doesn't even make any sense.
Is she saying white people are straight and minorities are LGBTQP?
Huh?
It used you be you could at least understand what these far-left zealots were saying, but now I think they're just using buzzwords they don't fully understand and hoping some of the pasta sticks to the wall.
Weird!
And then I'm confused why straight people can't have their own event.
So it's ok to have a Gay Pride event, but not ok to have a Straight Pride one?
What's the difference?
Weird!
Newsweek had more:
New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took a swipe not necessarily at the city of Boston, but at the men marching in the town's Straight Pride parade Saturday. Commenting on a tweeted video that shows mostly men with a few women marching, AOC said it looks like the men might have a "masculinity" problem.
"For men who are allegedly so "proud" of being straight, they seem to show real incompetence at attracting women to their event," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. "Seems more like a "I-Struggle-With-Masculinity" parade to me. Hope they grow enough over the next year to support / join LGBTQ fam next #Pride!
The parade Saturday afternoon began at Copley Square and ended at the Boston City Hall. Boston police beefed up security along that route in anticipation of any potential clashes with opposing groups of straight pride demonstrators and those who accused them of being homophobic.
The parade was organized by a group called "Super Happy Fun America," and they invited notorious right-leaning personalities.
The Super Happy Fun America group said anyone was welcome to participate as long as they, well, played along nicely with them.
"All are welcome at the parade as long as they meet the criteria for participation. Antifa, short for Anti-Fun, and other hate groups are not welcome because they are not happy and fun," the group said on its website.
The group said the city of Boston "rejected" its application to raise a straight pride flag at city hall, and said Boston and its mayor did not create "a supportive environment for straights and equality for all."
"We will continue to educate the Mayor and the public in anticipation that one day straights will be able to celebrate their lifestyle like everyone else," the group wrote. "What better way to educate and foster unity than by having a parade!"
The Boston Pride group last week said the parade was organized by white supremacists whose intention was to attract straight-pride detractors.
"The Straight Pride Parade is organized by a group of white supremacists and is an attempt to bait the Boston LGBTQ community."
As did the Washington Times:
The antifa activists arrested Saturday at Boston’s Straight Pride Parade received a helping hand from Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley.
The two Democratic congresswomen, part of “The Squad,” urged supporters on Twitter to contribute to the bail fund for counter-protesters who tangled with law enforcement at the Saturday melee.
Boston police arrested 36 people, charging nine with assault and battery on a police officer. Four officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries as they attempted to prevent the antifa-fueled crowd of about 1,000 counter-protesters from mixing it up with an estimated 200 parade participants.
It was unclear how many of those arrested were affiliated with antifa, but photos posted online showed a black-clad antifa activist being carried off by police. Antifa protesters attempting to block a road scuffled with officers, as shown on video.
Others arrested were charged with crimes including resisting arrest; disorderly conduct; assault; carrying a dangerous weapon, and assault by means of a dangerous weapon, according to a police log posted by the Boston Herald.
Fortunately for counter-protesters facing charges, the first-term congresswomen had their backs.
The Democrats posted tweets in support of a crowdfunding campaign on FundRazr to cover legal fees and jail support for those arrested. The campaign closed after raising $24,652, surpassing its $15,000 goal.
Ok, and last before I wrap up this article, I can't really talk about a Gay Pride Parade without adding in this bit from Norm Macdonald.
One of the funniest things he's ever done, from his iconic album "Me Doing Standup" which I still hold to this day is the best standup album ever produced.
It's perfection from start to finish.
But this bit especially seems poignant for the article.
Try not to laugh hysterically, I dare you!
And FAIR WARNING: this is extremely graphic. It's funny, but if you're easily offended, don't click play. 😁
