Democrats want the political system established by our forefathers to be modified to better suit them.
They want the Electoral College gone, and vouch for a “restructuring” of the Supreme Court by adding seats to it, which they claim would make things more fair in the way our country is run (translation: it would give Democrats the control they so desperately desire, then promptly lead to the destruction of our nation’s democracy!)
Sen. Lindsey Graham has vowed to throw a wrench into Democrat plans if their wishes start coming to fruition.
He told Maria Bartiromo of Fox News earlier today,
“Over my dead body, it’s not going to happen.”
Watch what Graham had to say about liberals wanting to bring disbalance to our government’s system here:
The Washington Examiner has more to say on Lindsey Graham's rebuttal to Democrat radical plans:
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham rebuked plans by some Democrats to add seats to the Supreme Court and to do away with the Electoral College, in comments during an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday morning.
"At least five Democratic senators are threatening a restructuring of the Supreme Court if they do not get their way in these gun cases. Tell us how you see it," Bartiromo said.
"This has been a dream of the Left for decades, is to increase the number of judges on the court," Graham answered. "Pack them with liberal judges so the court can do through the legal system what they cannot do through the ballot box. The dream of every leftist is to have a liberal court and enacting laws from the bench. The dream of every conservative is to have judges who will interpret the law, not make the law. So when you hear expanding the court, that is code for liberals packing the court."
Several months ago, Lindsey Graham had blasted Dems over the electoral college as well.
According to The Washington Examiner, he had said:
“The desire to abolish the Electoral College is driven by the idea Democrats want rural America to go away politically,” the South Carolina Republican tweeted.
His comment comes in response to 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who said in a town hall hosted by CNN Monday the system by which Americans have elected presidents for the past 230 years must come to an end.
“That means getting rid of the Electoral College,” the Massachusetts Democrat said.
“Everybody ought to come here and ask for your vote,” she told the Mississippi crowd.
