Elizabeth Warren Demands Walmart Stop Selling Guns

Aren’t incidents like the El Paso and Dayton shootings the reason we need guns for self-defense?

I mean, two heroes that emerged as survivors of the horrific tragedies both encouraged eligible, responsible patriots to go get their concealed carry licenses after they suffered through seeing innocents murdered bent on killing.

Wouldn’t the mentally deranged like the two shooters last weekend find a way to kill even if they weren’t able to legally purchase a gun, be it through obtaining one of the black market (criminals don’t follow laws, including gun laws, after all!) or using some other form of weapon.

Just look at Britain, where guns are banned, but knife crime just keeps going up and up!

All that reason is lost on far-left Elizabeth Warren, though, along with most other liberals.

In response to the shooting at their establishment, Elizabeth Warren is now calling on Walmart to cease selling guns!

She demanded this in this tweet, which you can see below:

She then retweeted an event announcement from anti-gun Guns Down America saying that she is going to rally against Walmart selling guns:

News of Warren's proposed solution to gun violence is not going over well with Americans.

Take a look at what people are saying about it on Twitter:

Victor Guillen made an excellent point:

LaCorte News has an overview of Warren's demand:

In wake of the Aug. 3 mass shooting at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (MA) is calling on the retail giant to "stop selling guns" in order to protect its customers, and is supporting a Walmart rally for this weekend which calls on the company to end its gun sales, the Washington Free Beacon reported

He comments: "Companies that sell guns have a responsibility to the safety of their communities," Warren tweeted."@Walmart is one of the largest gun retailers in the world. The weapons they sell are killing their own customers and employees. No profit is worth those lives. Do the right thing—stop selling guns."

The Washington Times also said:

Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Friday called on Walmart to stop selling guns after more than 20 people were killed in a shooting at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, last weekend.

“Companies that sell guns have a responsibility to the safety of their communities,” Ms. Warren, a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, said on Twitter. “@Walmart is one of the largest gun retailers in the world. The weapons they sell are killing their own customers and employees. No profit is worth those lives. Do the right thing—stop selling guns.”

She said sometimes companies recognize “they have an obligation to the lives, health, and safety of their communities” and pointed out that CVS voluntarily stopped selling tobacco products several years ago.

“Cigarette sales went down, and more smokers tried to quit. That’s progress,” she said.

Walmart is taking steps to remove displays depicting violence in its stores in the wake of the El Paso shooting, though a spokesman for the retail giant said earlier this week there are no plans to change the company’s policies on firearms sales.
