“It’s dangerous to wear a hat like this in New York City,” declared MAGA hat-wearing Jahangir Turan, a Manhattan art gallery owner brutally attacked by a group of teenage thugs who bashed his head into a scaffolding pole.
Turan said that he had just left a visit to Trump’s skyscraper, where he had purchased his “Make America Great Again” hat when he was ambushed and savagely brutalized by the group, who yelled, “F*ck Trump,” at him before leaving him horrifically bruised, battered, and with a severely injured eye.

NBC New York has more details on what Turan suffered:
The owner of a New York City art shop located in the exclusive Billionaire's Row area claims he was viciously beaten Tuesday evening by a group on Canal Street for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
With a swollen face, bruises and black eye Jahangir “John” Turan -- owner of the David Parker Gallery which sells art work by Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró, among other celebrated artists -- says he was on his way to a meeting with a client after buying a MAGA hat when he came across a group of “kids," who he described as being 18 to 20 years old, while walking on Canal Street toward West Broadway.
He says he was passing the group when a girl in the group “flipped” his hat onto the street. Allegedly, when he bent down to get it, the rest of the group “started pounding” on him, grabbed his head and hit it against a pole.
Turan claims the group was shouting anti-Trump sentiments including “f--- Trump” while attacking him.
New York Daily News also stated:
A Manhattan art gallery owner claims he was viciously beaten by 15 youths shouting “F--- Trump!” while walking down a Chinatown street in a “Make America Great Again” baseball cap.
Jahangir Turan, 42, suffered a gruesome left eye injury when jumped by the group on Canal St. near Broadway about 7:30 p.m. Monday, shortly after purchasing the familiar red hat inside the Trump Tower. Turan told the Daily News that he suffered an orbital floor fracture to a bone in his left eye when slammed against a piece of the scaffolding on the sidewalk.
“They beat me up for wearing the hat,” Turan said Thursday. “They were saying ‘Why are you wearing that?’ One girl flipped the hat off my head, and I tried to grab it. Then they came after me. One guy grabbed me from behind and slammed my head against a metal post.”
Turan said he picked up the hat in an impulse purchase just a short time earlier inside President Trump’s Fifth Ave. skyscraper, just around the corner from his nearby David Parker Gallery on W. 57th St. — where works by Andy Warhol and Salvador Dalí are available.
