DISGUSTING: Chicago’s New Mayor Tell Trump To Shove It, Won’t Comply With ICE

The large-scale deportation of illegal immigrants by ICE that Trump is kicking off to take a major step in ending the crisis at the border is unsurprisingly being met with resistance by prominent Dems, especially those who rule in sanctuary cities.

Chicago’s new mayor Lori Lightfoot is one of those.

In a Twitter thread, Lightfoot announced that Chicago will not “cooperate with or facilitate any ICE enforcement actions.”

Take a look at what she said in her tweets here:

Meanwhile, in Lightfoot's "welcoming city," the most violent weekend of the year so far just occured - resulting in over 50 people being shot in one weekend.

Watch news of this here:

Perhaps Mayor Lightfoot should reconsider her priorities.

In response to the Dems who are refusing to comply with ICE, President Trump posted this tweet, reminding people that illegal immigrants are criminals and should not be allowed to stay here:

Twitter user Mark Wahls also made a great point in response to Mayor Lightfoot:

The former Chicago mayor, Rahm Emanuel, held the same sentiment towards illegal immigrants that the present one does.

In April, Emanuel claimed that "America is a sanctuary country," but Twitter users had none of that fallacious statement.

Here's some response tweets showing what the people of America actually think about illegal immigration and sanctuary cities:

The Daily Caller has more to say about the new Chicago mayor's refusal to comply with ICE:

Chicago Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot is refusing to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as it seeks to deport illegal immigrants in cities across America.

ICE has promised to begin the task of large-scale deportation this weekend but Lightfoot tweeted Friday that “Chicago has taken concrete steps to support our immigrant communities.”

One way that the mayor will not cooperate is to prevent ICE from accessing the Chicago Police Department’s “databases related to federal immigration enforcement activities.”

Lightfoot has also ensured that the police department understands just how passionate the Chicago mayor is about not helping ICE deport illegal aliens from its city.

Lightfoot concludes her tweet by saying, “Chicago will always be a welcoming city and a champion for the rights of our immigrant and refugee communities, and I encourage any resident in need of legal aid to contact the National Immigrant Justice Center.”

President Donald Trump first talked Monday about the mass deportation effort but tweeted Saturday morning that the people targeted have already been told that they don’t belong in the United States and “have run from the law and run from the courts. These are people that are supposed to go back to their home country.”

What do you think about sanctuary cities?

Should they be cut off from federal funding?

If you think that cities should not be allowed to refuse to comply with ICE officials on deportation orders, let your voice be heard!
