WATCH: Lindsey Graham Issues Blistering Statement: Pelosi’s Job is ‘Very Much at Risk!’

Since the midterm elections, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has retained control of the House of Representatives.

However, some prominent figures have recently voiced that her days at the helm may be numbered.

One of those figures is Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

While appearing on Fox News on Sunday, Graham mentioned that the left’s obsession with impeachment is doomed to fail and backfire dramatically, and that this just might cost Pelosi her position as speaker of the House.

Graham specifically stated that the current state of affairs with impeachment talks gaining steam is putting her job ‘very much at risk.’

According to The Hill:

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) said Sunday that Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s (D-Calif.) job is at risk.

“Her job is very much at risk,” Graham, a staunch defender of President Trump, said on “Fox News Sunday.” “Nancy Pelosi is riding a bucking, wild bronco called the Democratic caucus.”

“Seventy percent of the Democratic base wants President Trump impeached. She knows that impeachment would be political suicide because there’s no reason to impeach the president. So she’s trying to keep the party intact. If she goes down the impeachment road, Republicans take back the House, we keep the Senate, President Trump gets reelected.”

Pelosi has faced increased pressure from many members of her party in recent weeks to launch impeachment proceedings against the president.

The California lawmaker, however, has maintained that beginning proceedings is premature.

President Trump and Speaker Pelosi had engaged in a war of words throughout last week.

Graham has also stated that it would be ‘political suicide’ for Pelosi and the Dems to try to impeach President Trump.
