The Dems will go to any lengths to keep their fantasy tale about Trump colluding with Russia alive.
Since they’ve yet to find any concrete evidence of their delusion, it seems that now they’re justifying the narrative by convincing themselves that Trump is a villainous mastermind who hid all the evidence.
Following a meeting with her fellow Dems to discuss potentially taking steps towards impeaching President Trump, Pelosi remarked that they, “believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up.”

Trump may be brilliant, but accusing him of using his intelligence to cover up a collusion with Russia based on absolutely zero evidence is just crazy talk.

The New York Post has more on Pelosi's ungrounded accusation:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she believes President Trump is “engaged in a cover-up” following a meeting Wednesday with House Democrats over whether to launch impeachment hearings.
“It’s important to follow the facts. We believe that no one is above the law, including the president of the United States,” Pelosi said on Capitol Hill after the meeting. ”And we believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up and that was the nature of the meeting.”
The California Democrat said it was a “positive” meeting and a “respectful sharing of ideas” but didn’t say where she stands on impeachment.
Pelosi, unlike many in her party, has been reluctant to go down that path and has been trying to tamp down calls for impeachment.
But the effort took on new urgency after former White House counsel Don McGahn defied a subpoena to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.
NY Daily News also commented:
The House Speaker slammed Trump after a meeting with fellow Democrats where she faced down calls from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Queens) and progressives to start impeachment amid an escalating confrontation with the White House.
“No one is above the law, including the president of the United States," Pelosi said. "And we believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up.”
Pelosi downplayed reports of a split over impeachment and called the Democrats-only meeting “a respectful sharing of ideas" and Hakeem Jeffries (D-Brooklyn), a top lieutenant, called the face-off a “family conversation.”
“Our members ... have different views, but there’s no division,” she said.
A rising chorus of Democratic lawmakers want to push forward with impeachment hearings. But Pelosi fears the ‘I-word’ will turn off swing voters with 2020 looming.
