Controversial Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar’s most recent display of her disturbing lack of patriotism was a statement made in response to the recent uprising in Venezuela against their socialist government.
In a recent interview, Omar went as far as to blame America for the devastating state that Venezuela is in and accuse our nation of antagonizing the socialist regime’s leader, Maduro!
Check out Omar’s outrageous statement here:
Vice President Mike Pence was quick to react to this quite frankly unAmerican sentiment expressed by representative who has been in hot water almost constantly as of late.
He voiced the Trump administration's solidarity with the people in Venezuela fighting for their freedom and openly condemned Omar's accusation, calling out her apparent support of socialism.
Take a look at this tweet Pence posted in response to Omar:
Other prominent Republicans are also standing up for Venezuelans' right to freedom over their oppressive government and took to Twitter to disavow Omar's statement.

Fox News has more details on Omar's twisted statement:
Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, suggested Wednesday the United States could be partly to blame for the ongoing turmoil in Venezuela, saying the policies of the Trump administration had "kind of helped lead the devastation."
Appearing on Democracy Now, a news program broadcast on PBS, among other outlets, Omar was asked to weigh in on what the host described as a "US-supported coup attempt" against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
"A lot of the policies that we have put in place has kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela and we have sort of set the stage for where we are arriving today," Omar said. "This particular bullying and the use of sanctions to eventually intervene and make regime change really does not help the people of countries like Venezuela and it certainly does not help and is not in the interest of the United States."
Omar added that there are "finally" lawmakers who have been elected to Congress who agree with her views.
The New York Post also had the following to say:
Rep. Ilhan Omar blamed the US for the political turmoil in Venezuela, saying we “helped lead the devastation” through the use of sanctions.
“A lot of the policies that we have put in place has kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela and we have sort of set the stage for where we are arriving today,” the Minnesota congresswoman said during an interview Wednesday with Democracy Now!. “This particular bullying and the use of sanctions to eventually intervene and make regime change really does not help the people of countries like Venezuela and it certainly does not help and is not in the interest of the United States.”
The freshman Democrat added that there are “finally” members of Congress who agree with what she said.
Unfortunately, the backlash Omar received wasn't enough to change her mind or get her to stand up for the core American value of liberty.
Apparently in response to the criticism she received, Omar posted this days later on Twitter:
If this isn't evidence enough of Omar's disloyalty to America, we don't know what is. We can only hope she won't last much longer in Congress!
