HILARIOUS: Nancy Pelosi Tries To Give President Trump An Order

How amusing.

Nancy Pelosi just tried to order President Trump to take down a patriotic tweet he posted to honor the lives lost in the 9/11 attack in response to Democrat and Muslim Rep. Omar’s dismissive comments regarding the horrible act of terrorism.

For reference, here’s the tweet Pelosi tried to get Trump to delete:

According to NBC News, Pelosi called the video "disrespectful" and "dangerous" in her call for the tweet to be removed:

But, President Trump refused to take down the video.

Instead, he replied with a cutting, quite blunt tweet to Pelosi.

Take a look:

You don't mess with President Trump.

NBC News had the following to say about the backstory and  details:

Rep. Ilhan Omar says she's faced increased death threats since President Donald Trump spread around a video that purports to show her being dismissive of the 2001 terrorist attacks. "This is endangering lives," she said, accusing Trump of fomenting right-wing extremism. "It has to stop."

Her statement late Sunday followed an announcement by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that she has taken steps to ensure the safety of the Minnesota Democrat and the speaker's call for Trump to take down the video.

Soon after Pelosi's statement, the video disappeared as a pinned tweet at the top of Trump's Twitter feed, but it was not deleted.

Pelosi was among Democrats who had criticized Trump over the tweet, with some accusing him of trying to incite violence against the Muslim lawmaker. An upstate New York man recently was charged with making death threats against her.

On Monday, Trump took a shot at Pelosi for defending Omar.White House press secretary Sarah Sanders defended Trump Sunday, saying the president has a duty to highlight Omar's history of making comments that others deem anti-Semitic or otherwise offensive and that he wished no "ill will" upon the first-term lawmaker.

Trump remains unapologetic for condemning Omar with the tweet. He called her the disrespectful one and "extremely unpatriotic" (truth!)

Politico commented on Trump's refusal to repent for posting the video on Twitter:

President Donald Trump has no regrets about posting a video that spliced together footage of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with Rep. Ilhan Omar, telling a Minneapolis ABC affiliate that the congresswoman is "extremely unpatriotic and disrespectful to our country."

“She is somebody that doesn't really understand, I think, life, real life, what it’s all about. It’s unfortunate — she's got a way about her that's very, very bad, I think, for our country,” he told local TV station KSTP during a visit to Minnesota on Monday.

Trump on Friday posted an edited video featuring a portion of Omar’s remarks at a Council on American-Islamic Relations event last month in which she discussed the civil liberties of Muslims in the United States, arguing the entire faith should not be judged by the actions of Islamic terrorists. Republicans have attacked Omar (D-Minn.) over her remarks at the event, specifically her characterization of the 9/11 attacks as "some people did something." The video on Trump’s account switched back and forth between Omar’s words and footage from the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Democrats have been quick to defend Omar, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said over the weekend that her team was working with U.S. Capitol Police and the House sergeant-at-arms, “conducting a security assessment to safeguard" Omar and her family in light of increased threats against the congresswoman. In a statement Sunday, Omar said that many of the “direct threats on my life” referenced or were in reply to Trump’s video.

Trump was asked by KSTP on Monday if he had any second thoughts about tweeting the video out.

“No, not at all,” he said. “Look — she's been very disrespectful to this country. She’s been very disrespectful, frankly, to Israel.”
