Trump’s proposal to release detained illegal immigrants into sanctuary cities has blown off the lid of Dems’ supposed defense of illegal immigrants to reveal the truth – they don’t want illegals flooding the cities where THEY live.
First, Nancy Pelosi expressed furiosity at Trump’s idea, and now Cher has tweeted out a message implying that her state of California should take care of their own instead of letting more illegal immigrants in.
Check out the tweet:
Cher's tweet has blown up on social media, sparking confusion and mockery.
Some Twitter users are responding to Cher's tweet pointing out her hypocrisy:
Others are "congratulating" Cher for stepping over to the other side:
Piers Morgan also took to Twitter to respond:
Even Donald Trump Jr. inputted:
His father, President Trump, also responded to the hypocritical tweet, saying that he finally agrees with Cher on something:
Breitbart had the following to say about Cher's 180 degree flip on her opinion of illegal immigrants:
Pop icon Cher said Sunday that Los Angeles, California, “can’t take care of its own” residents, much less newly arrived illegal and legal immigrants.
Cher said she failed to understand how the city of Los Angeles in the sanctuary state of California could afford to admit and take care of any more immigrants when city officials have failed to care for homeless, veterans, and poverty-stricken Americans.
“I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN.WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS.PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS)How Can it Take Care Of More,” Cher said.
The post came after President Trump threatened to bus border crossers and illegal aliens into sanctuary cities and states, like California, if the country’s asylum laws were not changed. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed that the White House is considering the plan.
CBS Los Angeles commented on President Trump's response to Cher:
When it comes to the controversy over illegal immigration, President Donald Trump may have found an unlikely ally in Cher.
On Sunday, the legendary singer tweeted concern over the city of Los Angeles potentially focusing more attention on immigration at the expense of its own homeless population.
“I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN,” Cher tweeted. “WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+ US Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS. PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own (Many Are VETS) How Can it Take Care Of More.”
L.A. has seen a growing homeless crisis as rents skyrocket and more people are forced onto the streets. The annual Greater Los Angeles Homeless in 2018 recorded 52,765 homeless people living in L.A. County.
President Trump expressed his approval Monday morning.
“I finally agree with @Cher!”
First Pelosi, now Cher. We wonder, who will be the next prominent Democrat to change their mind on immigrants at the prospect of living side-by-side with them?
