Michael Cohen can’t seem to stop lying.
At least, that’s according to a new criminal referral sent to the DOJ by Republicans Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows.
Why is this important?
Because if you can lie to Congress right to their face and get away with it with no penalty, then the system is a total mockery.
So it’s time to investigate and do so thoroughly.
And if there are demonstrable, provable lies, then the Dept. of Justice needs to INCREASE Cohen’s prison time.
Lying to Congress must be a criminal offense and it must be enforced!

Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) sent a criminal referral to Attorney General Bill Barr Thursday, alleging that Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, falsely testified before the House Oversight and Reform committee.
The criminal referral: “Mr. Cohen’s testimony before the Committee on Oversight and Reform … was a spectacular and brazen attempt to knowing and willfully testify falsely and fictitiously to numerous material facts. His testimony included intentionally false statements designed to make himself look better on a national stage. Some of his answers to lawmakers, they asserted, contradicted court filings made by federal prosecutors in Manhattan. Others were “immediately contradicted by witnesses with firsthand knowledge of the subject matter.”
Where Cohen allegedly lied: Meadows and Jordan believe that Cohen lied when he said he had never defrauded a bank, noting that it contradicts his guilty plea. They also allege that he lied about not wanting to work in the White House as well as having nothing to do with the Twitter account @WomenforCohen. Meadows and Jordan think that Cohen did have reportable contracts with foreign government entities, despite his testimony saying otherwise.
Cohen’s response: “Mr. Cohen testified truthfully before the House Oversight Committee. He took full responsibility for his guilty pleas. He also backed up much of his testimony with documents,” said Cohen attorney and spokesman Lanny Davis, adding that the “two pro-Trump Committee members” are misusing “the criminal justice system with the aura of pure partisanship.”
