Talk about being on the wrong side of the issue!
When a new poll comes out 93% vs. 7%, you really want to be the party in line with the 93%.
Unfortunately for Pelosi and Schumer, that’s not them!
Because Pelosi and Schumer are busy pushing stuff like this:
And spending all their time attacking Trump, like they did in this Breitbart report:
On this week’s broadcast of “CBS Sunday Morning,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said her “impression” was that President Donald Trump would like to “abolish Congress.”
Host Jane Pauley asked, “Are you recalibrating your assessment of how you can work with this president?”
Pelosi responded, “Let me first say that our purpose in the meeting at the White House was to open up government. The impression you get from the president is that he would like not only close government, build a wall, but also abolish Congress, so the only voice that mattered was his own.”
The problem is, Americans don't agree with what the Dems are pushing!
Funny thing.....Americans want SAFETY!
And that means securing our borders.
This was proven yet again when a new poll said only 7% of Americans say illegal immigration is "not a problem at all".
In other words, only 7% of Americans agree with the official Pelosi and Schumer platform!
Talk about being on the wrong side of the American public!
Here are more details from the Washington Times:
A new poll reveals that very few Americans say that illegal immigration is not a problem.
A wide-ranging Economist/YouGov survey gauged the level of concern Americans have on the issue to find that only 7 percent of the overall public say illegal immigration is “not a problem”; 2 percent of Republicans, 7 percent of independents and even 12 percent of Democrats agree with the statement.
Amid non-stop news coverage of the President Trump’s battle to fund a border wall and the Central American caravan, the poll suggests that public worry is pronounced — almost two thirds says illegal immigration is a serious problem, with some predictable partisan divides. Here’s what the survey found:
• 40 percent of Americans overall say illegal immigration in the U.S. is a “very serious problem”; 73 percent of Republicans, 38 percent of independents and 15 percent of Democrats agree.
• 22 percent overall say illegal immigration is a “somewhat serious problem”; 19 percent of Republicans, 21 percent of independents and 26 percent of Democrats agree.
• 24 percent overall say illegal immigration is a “minor problem”; 5 percent of Republicans, 23 percent of independents and 42 percent of Democrats agree.
