Great news out of Florida (again)!
Just a few days ago, we announced that Ron DeSantis had defeated Andrew Gillum in the race for Governor of Florida!
Gillum reportedly only gained ONE vote!
Today comes news that Rick Scott has defeated Bill Nelson for the Senate seat by over 10,000 votes!
Congratulations Senator Scott!
Here are the announcements as news broke:
The NY Post had more:
Republican governor Bill Scott eked out a victory over Democrat incumbent Bill Nelson in the race for Senate in Florida following a hand recount of the votes nearly two weeks after the midterm elections, according to a report Sunday.
Scott had a 10,033-vote lead over Nelson after the state Division of Elections released updated numbers Sunday afternoon from the statewide manual recount, the Miami Herald reported.
Scott’s razor-thin margin of victory in the Nov. 6 elections first went to a machine count that showed the two candidates separated by 0.15 percentage points and then a hand count in all 67 counties.
Nelson will have 10 days to file a challenge once the elections results are certified on Tuesday.
