President Trump told the media today that he “looks forward” to an interview by Trump-Russia investigator Robert Mueller.
Almost without seeming to care, Trump said he would speak under oath.
Much respect to Chris Ruddy and Newsmax for rushing out the story from the White House late on Wednesday afternoon. What an outfit!
And the full run-down:
“Here is the story: There has been no collusion whatsoever. There is no obstruction whatsoever. And I’m looking forward to it,” Trump told a group of reporters who were meeting with White House chief of staff John Kelly at the White House.
When asked about a date, Trump said: “I think in about two or three weeks. But I would love to do it.”
Trump did give a caveat, however, saying that he would defer to the advice of his lawyers.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders during Tuesday’s daily briefing said Trump “wants to see this end and he wants to see them finally come to the same conclusion that I think almost everyone in America has. Frankly, this administration, we’ve said it time and time before, there was no collusion and there’s nothing to it. We’re ready to move on. Clearly the American people are.”
Can you imagine the faces of the CNN and MSNBC reporters?
Sarah giving them that icy stare, saying that Trump is going to testify and end this whole charade in a couple of weeks.
But is it a good strategy? Let us know what you think in comments!
