Hazmat teams and emergency crews have responded to a massive explosion and fire at the INEOS Phenol chemical plant in Pasadena, Texas.
The plant manufactures multiple types of chemicals and oils.
One person has reportedly been transported to the hospital.

KHOU 11 reported a possible pipeline explosion:
A fire at the INEOS chemical site in the Pasadena area has been extinguished after a possible pipeline explosion, according to the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office.
The fire began burning Wednesday at the site near Highway 225. It was extinguished just before 1:30 p.m. So far, crews haven’t said what started the fire but Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted that it may have been a blast.
Officials say Beltway 8 and Highway 225, as well as the Houston Ship Channel, have reopened after the fire.
One person has been taken to the hospital and officials say there are no impacts to the community at this time.
“Harris County HazMat is enroute to a possible pipeline explosion in the 3500 block of Pasadena Fwy. More information to come,” the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office tweeted.

A massive fire burning at a plant along SH-225 near the East Beltway has been extinguished following two reported explosions on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials identified the plant involved as INEOS.
Houston Transtar cameras captured a large explosion at the plant, located at 3503 Pasadena Freeway, around 12:07 p.m. Harris County Pct. 8 Constable Phil Sandlin told ABC13 a second explosion was also reported.
One person was taken to the hospital, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. There’s no word on the individual’s identity or the nature of any injuries.
Beltway 8 has reopened at Highway 225 after it was closed out of precaution. The Sam Houston Tollway Ship Channel bridge has also reopened in both directions.
“Pasadena Alert: The fire that was occurring at INEOS at 225/Beltway 8 has been extinguished, no protective measures are needed for Pasadena residence,” the city of Pasadena tweeted.
