Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently got on the bullhorn and called out Congress for failing to act in the wake of the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.
“This is not a disaster site, it is a potential crime scene”, she stated. …For once we agree:

The situation in East Palestine, Ohio has gone from bad to worse, with recent reports indicating that the temporary containment dam used to quarantine contaminated water is now overflowing.
We are also seeing claims of the railway and toxic cleanup personnel getting sick at the site.
Norfolk-Southern trains have derailed at least 3 separate times in roughly one month, as many are beginning to see a disturbing pattern emerge.

According to NBC News, an invesitgation into Norfolk-Southern is already underway:
The National Transportation Safety Board launched a special investigation of Norfolk Southern Railway’s organization and safety culture following a series of derailments and other “significant accidents.”
The announcement came just hours after the railroad said a conductor had been fatally struck at an Ohio steel facility.

Residents of East Palestine told Fox 8 the train derailments seem like a pattern:
“It seems like a pattern. I mean, this train company needs to be held accountable,” said Frank Frantigrassi who’s from East Palestine.
