Former NBA superstar Shawn Kemp was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly being involved in a drive-by shooting.
Per the Tacoma Police Department, an altercation occurred between “occupants of 2 cars led to shots being fired at a parking lot.”
Kemp was identified as one of the two involved in the altercation and was booked at the Pierce County Corrections.
Later all charges against Kemp was dropped and the former NBA star was released from jail.
Kemp is still currently under investigation.

The Tacoma Police Department confirmed Wednesday that there had been “an altercation between the occupants of 2 cars led to shots being fired at a parking lot” around 2 p.m. in the afternoon.
Kemp was booked at 5:58 p.m. and charged with a felony, per the Pierce County Corrections records.
It’s been alleged Kemp had items stolen from him earlier in the week and that he traced the property to Tacoma on Wednesday, sources told Fox 13 Seattle.
A former member of the Seattle SuperSonics, Kemp played in the NBA from 1990-2004.
In addition to the SuperSonics, Kemp also had stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers and Orlando Magic.

CNN provide a new update:
Former Seattle SuperSonics star Shawn Kemp, who was arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting incident Wednesday, was released from jail and no charges will be filed at this time, according to a spokesperson for a prosecutor’s office in Washington state.
In a statement emailed to CNN on Thursday, Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson Adam Faber said no charges will be filed today.
“This case’s status will be ‘No Charges Filed’ pending further investigation by Tacoma Police, and Mr. Kemp will be released,” he wrote.
The investigation is ongoing, police spokesperson Wendy Haddow confirmed in an email to CNN.
Kemp, 53, was arrested and booked Wednesday evening in connection with a drive-by shooting incident, according to Darren Moss Jr., a sheriff’s office spokesperson in Pierce County, and online jail records.
