Here we go again….

Another train derailment was reported this time in Oklahoma.

The incident took place in the small town of Verdigris, just outside of Tulsa, Tuesday evening.

KSN.com reported on the derailment, stating

According to authorities, the cars were empty at the time, and there is no safety risk.

The cause of the derailment has not been determined.

Local residents were able to record the event on their phones and shared the video.

Check it out.

Nearby roads were closed for a while but have since reopened.

Fox23 News had more:

Scotty Stokes from Rogers County Emergency Management said there were no hazardous spills or injuries, but traffic was affected for a while.

This is just another in a long string of train derailments these days.

I actually live just down the road from where this train derailment took place.

While some claim they happen all the time, I have to say this is the very first I’ve seen in my town.

I can’t tell you how many trains we have come through on a daily basis.

Let’s just say, I never leave the house without seeing at least one train.

In fact, I was late getting the kids to school today because we had to wait on a ridiculously long train.

So it is a little odd to see it happening here.

Maybe it’s a coincidence.

Maybe we’re just paying attention to the derailments more now than before.

Or maybe it’s something else.

What’s your take?
