Oops! Black Panther Leader Finds Out Ancestors Came to America on Mayflower, Owned Slaves

It’s a bad day to be Angela Davis.

Well, most days probably are, but today especially.

The ultra-liberal, reparation-demanding, Black Panther just discovered her ancestors weren’t the enslaved victims she believed.

Davis appeared on the show Finding Your Roots, which researches a person’s ancestry.

It turns out, her ancestors actually came to America on the Mayflower.

Oops. That doesn’t fit the narrative.

According to Daily Mail,

She appeared shocked during the TV interview that aired this week in which Finding Your Roots host Henry Louis Gates, Jr. told her of her ancestry.

‘No. I can’t believe this. My ancestors did not come here on the Mayflower,’ she said – only to be later told that they did indeed arrive in the US aboard the famed pilgrim ship.

But, wait! There’s more –

During the show, Davis learned that her ancestors were also slave owners!

Davis also made discoveries about her mother, Sallye Bell, who was found to be the daughter of a successful white Alabama lawyer who himself descended from a slave owner.

As Gates went back further in time things got murkier still. Stephen Darden, her fourth great grandfather, was born in colonial Virginia around 1750.

He was a patriot who played the drums during the Revolutionary War, according to a muster roll. Afterwards he moved from Virginia to Georgia, where he owned a farm and at least six slaves.

Well, well, well…

Davis was the Vice Presidential candidate for the U.S. Communist Party in 1980 and 1984, was active in the Black Panther Party, and was once on the FBI’s Most Wanted List due to her involvement in the armed takeover a California courtroom, which resulted in four people being shot to death. She’s advocated for reparations, boycotting Israel, amid countless other absurdities such as support for abolishing prisons entirely.

So, now that she’s learned the truth about her ancestors will she be paying reparations?
