CNN made waves when it decided to fire Chris Cuomo in 2021.
Since then, the brother of former New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, has found a home on a new news network—News Nation.
Although Chris’ story had a happy ending, the former CNN media personality’s life was drenched in emotional turmoil following his dismissal from the corporate news giant.
He reportedly told Anthony Scaramucci, on a recent segment of his podcast “Open Book”, that he was thinking about killing everyone and himself following his forced severance from CNN.
Was this simply hyperbole or did Cuomo mean it in a more literal sense? Here’s the soundbite:

The New York Post shared the full quote:
“I had to accept [my firing] because I was going to kill everybody, including myself,” the 52-year-old news personality told ex-Trump administration official Anthony Scramucci during The Mooch’s podcast, “Open Book,” which aired Wednesday.
“Things can consume you.”
After Chris Cuomo was fired from CNN, he said he was going to kill everybody and himself.
Should Chris Cuomo be hospitalized for being a lunatic?

Chris Cuomo was going to 'kill everybody including myself' after being fired from CNN. Should have just followed Brian Stelter's example – uncontrollably sob while going on a Cinnabon bender.

Business Insider adds:
Cuomo, 52, who is of Italian heritage, added “things can consume you. Italians are so passionate.”
Scaramucci, also Italian, was publicly fired by then-President Trump after 10 days as communications director at the White House.
