“We believe that the ban on President Trump’s account on Facebook has dramatically distorted and inhibited the public discourse,” Trump’s campaign wrote in its letter to Meta on Tuesday, according to a copy reviewed by NBC News.
There are also circulating rumors that Trump is planning a comeback to Twitter after the reinstatement of his account.
Twitter users reacted to the news:
President Trump needs to be everywhere.. He needs to be on Twitter, Facebook, GETTR, Parler, Truth Social, Minds, Telegram, MeWe, CloutHub, Pilled, FrankSocial, etc etc..
That's how you win an election, put a team together, and be EVERYWHERE on Social Media..

NBC News reported:
Trump’s campaign didn’t threaten a lawsuit, as some sources close to Trump thought he would. It instead talked about the importance of free speech and petitioned Meta for a “meeting to discuss President Trump’s prompt reinstatement to the platform.”
A Meta spokesperson declined to comment about Trump beyond saying the company “will announce a decision in the coming weeks in line with the process we laid out.”
Facebook and Twitter both axed Trump’s account the day after J6.
Although Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk reinstated Trump’s account in November, Trump hasn’t returned to the platform.
Facebook will reportedly review its “limited ban” on Trump’s account this month, the outlet noted.
Newsmax added:
Trump, who has used his own Truth Social platform to post on social media, hasn’t tweeted since his account was reactivated.
“Trump is probably coming back to Twitter. It’s just a question of how and when,” one Republican told NBC News.
“He’s been talking about it for weeks, but Trump speaks for Trump, so it’s anyone’s guess what he’ll do or say or when.”
What do you think?
Should Trump return to Facebook and Twitter?
