15-Year-Old Basketball Player Collapses During Game in New Jersey

A 15-year-old boy reportedly collapsed during a recreational basketball game in Hillsborough Township in New Jersey.

Police officers and a bystander performed CPR on the teenager.

The boy reportedly wasn’t breathing and had no pulse.

He was revived after being connected to a defibrillator.

News 12 reported:

The bystander began administering CPR on the victim until officers took over and connected him to a defibrillator, at which point he regained a pulse and began breathing.

The boy is hospitalized in stable condition.

“A 15-year-old boy had to be resuscitated after collapsing during a recreational basketball league game,” News 12 reported during a telecast.

“This happened around 6 o’clock Saturday night in Hillsborough Township.”

“Police say that the boy wasn’t breathing. He had no pulse, so a bystander came out of the stands, began CPR on that victim until officers were finally able to get there,” the video report continued.

“They took over and they connected him to a defibrillator, where he regained a pulse and he began breathing again. That boy now in the hospital in stable condition.”
