The World Health Organization shared a video on Twitter promoting a ridiculous claim that ‘anti-vaccine activism’ is more dangerous than global terrorism, nuclear proliferation, gun violence, and cyber attacks.
The statement, said by Baylor College of Medicine’s Dr. Peter Hotez, has zero basis in facts.
“We have to recognize that anti-vaccine activism, which I actually call anti-science aggression, has now become a major killing force globally,” Hotez said in the video.
Hotez claimed that 200,000 Americans died because they refused a COVID-19 shot.
There’s absolutely no evidence to support that claim.
“And now it’s become a political movement. In the US it’s linked to far extremism on the far right,” Hotez said.

Respondents to the video put the WHO and Peter Hotez in their place for sharing such a nonsensical and dangerous claim.
“Doctors and ‘medicine’ kill more people than car accidents and guns. YOU are killing people with ‘science’ and dangerous untested drugs and vaccines,” one respondent said.

“The biggest anti-science dissemination has come from the @who when you tried to shut the world down over a mild virus with a 99.97% survival rate and for which even the most dire mortality rate was fraudulently reported (ie ‘positive test’). You only have yourselves to blame,” another user commented.

“Their lockdowns also starved millions of people in less affluent countries to death, and set back the mental and social development of kids many years that they can never get back,” one Twitter user stated.

“You are an absolute menace to society, Peter. Not just wrong in medicine. A menace to civilized society,” lawyer Viva Frei commented, posting screenshots of Hotez continually pushing to mask and inoculate children.

Hotez’s idiocy, hypocrisy, and vaccine totalitarianism can be summarized with two items.
First, despite being “vaccinated/boosted” for COVID-19, Hotez tested positive for the pathogen.
“Looks like I’ve tested positive for COVID, moderate symptoms of fatigue, headache, sore throat, isolating at home doing zoom meetings. I’m grateful to have been vaccinated/boosted, which certainly prevented more severe illness. Just started Paxlovid. Transmission up, be careful,” Hotez said.

Hotez also revealed how little he knows about legitimate healthy lifestyle choices on the Joe Rogan Experience.
These two clips of Hotez on Joe Rogan’s podcast summarize the state of public health agencies/organizations like the WHO.
I always thought the absurd reasons vaccine pushers use to avoid debate (here it's holocaust denialism) exist because they know their position is indefensible.
Hotez taught me it's because they are so used to being coddled by interviewers they can't even debate a neutral party. pic.twitter.com/WMAd91jvYf
