Nancy Pelosi is on the way out.
We will soon have a new Speaker of the House of Representatives.
It has remained somewhat of a forgone conclusion that Kevin McCarthy will be the new speaker.
However, not everyone loves that idea.
McCarthy appears to not have the backing that he expected.
Rep. Andy Biggs is already challenging McCarthy.
Some members of the GOP, such as Matt Gaetz, are urging another choice though.
Gaetz and others are pushing for Ohio representative Jim Jordan to throw his name in the hat.
Gaetz even claimed that to be his Christmas wish in a recent Tweet:
“All I want for Christmas is @Jim_Jordan to realize he should be Speaker of the House!,” Gaetz wrote on Twitter.

The New York Post has more on Gaetz’s push for Jordan to be the next House Speaker:
Rep. Matt Gaetz, one of a handful of Republicans who oppose House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy becoming House speaker next week, has publicly urged Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) to seek the leadership post.
Gaetz (R-Fla.) is one of a core group of House Freedom Caucus members who voted against McCarthy’s initial nomination last month.
“All I want for Christmas is @Jim_Jordan to realize he should be Speaker of the House!,” Gaetz wrote in a Twitter post on Christmas Eve.

Matt Gaetz has been very clear.
He’d love for Jim Jordan to become the next Speaker of the House:

Jordan is one of the most respected politicians within the GOP.
He’s one of the few who consistently holds the lying democrat party’s feet to the flames time and time again.
He continues to personally challenge the likes of Anthony Fauci, Nany Pelosi, and Joe Biden.

Make Title 42 permanent? No.
Give Border Patrol sufficient resources? No
Build the wall? No.
Amnesty for illegal aliens? YEP.

-Millions of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border
-Billions worth of weapons left behind in Afghanistan.
-Trillions in spending that we can’t afford.
