You probably know the name Vladamir Putin, but do you remember Dmitry Medvedev?
Let me remind you:
Dmitry Medvedev is a Russian politician who has held several important positions in the government of Russia. He served as the President of Russia from 2008 to 2012, and he is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia.
Medvedev was born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) in 1965. He received a law degree from Leningrad State University and began his career as a lawyer. In the 1990s, he worked in the administration of the city of St. Petersburg, and later served as the chief of staff for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In 2008, Medvedev was elected President of Russia after Putin’s two terms in office. During his presidency, Medvedev worked to modernize the Russian economy and improve the country’s relations with other nations. He also implemented a number of social and legal reforms, including the introduction of a new labor code and the expansion of the country’s healthcare system.
After his presidency, Medvedev returned to a position in the Russian government, where he has continued to work on issues related to national security and international relations. Despite some criticism from some quarters, Medvedev is widely seen as a strong leader and an important figure in Russian politics. So, he is a very important person in Russia.
So, why are we talking about DM?
Because of an “epic” Twitter thread he just posted with his “predictions” for 2023.
Take a look:
On the New Year’s Eve, everybody’s into making predictions
Many come up with futuristic hypotheses, as if competing to single out the wildest, and even the most absurd ones.
Here’s our humble contribution.
What can happen in 2023:
— Dmitry Medvedev (@MedvedevRussiaE) December 26, 2022
4. Poland and Hungary will occupy western regions of the formerly existing Ukraine
5. The Fourth Reich will be created, encompassing the territory of Germany and its satellites, i.e., Poland, the Baltic states, Czechia, Slovakia, the Kiev Republic, and other outcasts
— Dmitry Medvedev (@MedvedevRussiaE) December 26, 2022
8. Civil war will break out in the US, California. and Texas becoming independent states as a result. Texas and Mexico will form an allied state. Elon Musk’ll win the presidential election in a number of states which, after the new Civil War’s end, will have been given to the GOP
— Dmitry Medvedev (@MedvedevRussiaE) December 26, 2022
10. The Bretton Woods system of monetary management will collapse, leading to the IMF and World Bank crash. Euro and Dollar will stop circulating as the global reserve currencies. Digital fiat currencies will be actively used instead

Season greetings to you all, Anglo-Saxon friends, and their happily oinking piglets!
— Dmitry Medvedev (@MedvedevRussiaE) December 26, 2022
Wild huh?
But that’s not just my opinion.
Elon Musk himself, who is mentioned quite prominently in the thread, first responded with “Epic thread!!”
Epic thread!!
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) December 26, 2022
Later he supplemented what “Epic” meant with this Tweet:
Those are definitely the most absurd predictions I’ve ever heard, while also showing astonishing lack of awareness of the progress of artificial intelligence and sustainable energy.

So…do you think we have a “President Elon” in the future?
