“The things we did and the things we fought for and the boys that died for it, it’s all gone down the drain.”

My friends, THIS is what made America great.

People like this.

Veterans like this!

Americans who loved our country.

Americans who knew the value of our country.

Watch this amazing 100 year old veteran talk about America:

We need more people like this and a whole hell of a lot less of every traitor in Congress:

In a poignant video, a World War Two veteran breaks down in tears while discussing the current state of the country and the disconnect between the values he fought for 80 years ago and what he sees today. The centenarian, whose name was not mentioned in the video, speaks with a reporter named Emily and reflects on the wonderful life he has lived, filled with happiness and the appreciation of small joys.

But as the conversation continues, the veteran becomes emotional as he laments the state of the country and the lack of courage he sees in people today. He points out that many people today don’t realize how good they have it and instead complain about their circumstances.

“And people don’t realize what they have; they bitch about it. And then, nowadays, I am so upset that the things we did and the things we fought for and them boys just died for and it’s going down the drain. Our country is going to hell in a handbasket,” the veteran says.

He adds that the country is not the same as it was when he was young and brave, and that the opportunities he had are not available to people today. “It’s just not the same. That’s not what they died for,” the veteran says through tears.

It’s clear that the veteran is deeply troubled by the state of the country and the way it has changed since he fought for its freedom and values during World War Two. His emotions are understandable, as it must be devastating to see the values and principles he fought for being eroded and dismantled.

On this Veterans Day, it’s important to remember and honor the sacrifices of veterans like this one, who fought for the freedoms and values that have made America great.
