According to a 2008 Bloomberg article, Elon Musk became a Young Global Leader for the World Economic Forum.

Per Bloomberg:

Elon Musk, the chairman of Tesla Motors, the much-publicized electric sports-car company, is a new YGL.
There are other YGLers from the past who are in the social network: Sergey Brin, Co-Founders of Google, USA; Crown Prince Haakon of Norway; Malvinder M. Singh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Ranbaxy Laboratories, India; Hiroshi Nakada, Mayor of Yokohama, Japan; Nicky Newton-King, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, JSE, South Africa; Carlos Danel, Co-Chief Executive Officer, Banco Compartamos, Mexico; and Jack Ma Yun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Alibaba Group, People’s Republic of China.
The YGL grouping is perhaps the paramount networking network in the globe. It already includes such notables as Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Co-Founders of Google, USA; Crown Prince Haakon of Norway; Malvinder M. Singh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Ranbaxy Laboratories, India; Hiroshi Nakada, Mayor of Yokohama, Japan; Nicky Newton-King, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, JSE, South Africa; Carlos Danel, Co-Chief Executive Officer, Banco Compartamos, Mexico; and Jack Ma Yun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Alibaba Group, People’s Republic of China. Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia is YGLer, as is Newsweek’s columnist Fareed Zakaria.
Elon Musk addressed this article in a tweet early Saturday morning.
“I was invited to WEF, but declined,” Musk said.

Twitter user @Spiro_Ghost questioned Musk that his companies were driving WEF agendas.

“Could It Be Argued Your Companies Are Driving WEF Agendas? Neuralink = Transhumanism Tesla = Green Agenda Starlink = World Wide Internet To Incorporate Billions of Un-Banked People Into Control Grid / Digital ID Twitter = Payments / Cashless / Digital ID?,” @Spiro_Ghost said.

Former congresswoman and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard also addressed questions of her potential involvement with the World Economic Forum.

Tulsi Gabbard Completely Disavows the WEF: “I’ve Had NOTHING To Do With Them!”

What do you think?

Do you believe Musk that he declined a WEF invitation?
