Lauren Boebert’s Democrat opponent has finally conceded in the race for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District.
Democrat Adam Frisch conceded on Friday, saying that an expected recount was unlikely to change the outcome of the election.
Although the race appeared to be heading for a mandatory recount, Frisch said “the likelihood of this recount changing more than a handful of votes is very small.”
Frisch told reporters in a video call that he called Boebert to offer his concession.

The Hill reported:
“We are not asking for this recount. It is one that the citizens of Colorado mandate through our election system,” he said, telling supporters not to donate to his campaign for the recount effort.
“Please save your money for your groceries, your rent, your children,” he said.
In his remarks, Frisch, a former Aspen city councilman, said he was proud of the campaign he had run in a district that former President Trump carried just two years ago. But he also criticized his own party for eroding “the trust of rural Americans.”
“Democrats have abandoned rural America and working-class America for the last many years,” he said. “Republicans have had a monopoly over the backbone of this country.”
The race for Colorado’s 3rd District appeared headed for a recount late Thursday and early Friday, with the latest vote totals showing Boebert leading Frisch by just 0.16 percentage points, or 551 votes.
Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., took to social media to share some good news about the Colorado House race, announcing that “almost all the votes have finally been tallied,” with less than 200 votes outstanding.
She added, “We have won this race! With this victory, and with Republicans in control of the House of Representatives, we can focus on the issues that actually matter most, including getting inflation under control, increasing our domestic energy supply, securing the southern border, and being a strong check on the White House.”
RSBN added:
She pointed out, “Past recounts in Colorado have resulted in far fewer votes being adjusted than anything that could affect the current outcome we’re seeing tonight in this race.”
Boebert has been a vocal critic of the Biden administration and has come under fire from radical left Democrats for her support of President Donald Trump and her strong advocation for conservative policies.
Boebert easily won her Colorado primary election in June, defeating State Sen. Don Coram with roughly 65 percent of the vote, per RSBN.
According to The Denver Post, if Boebert’s victory sticks after the recount process is complete, she will head back to the House of Representatives with the majority party in 2023.
