The Conservative Election Win Mainstream Media Won’t Tell You

There’s one HUGE win for conservatives across the country this week that mainstream media won’t tell Americans.

School Boards!

“Two grassroots organizations that prioritize parental rights in education saw many of their endorsed candidates win their school board elections,” the Daily Caller reports.

“Last night was a disappointing night for Republicans in many parts of the country, but we’re happy to say we were very successful in key races in Florida, Oklahoma, Ohio, Maryland, which were by far the biggest places we targeted,” Aiden Buzzetti, head of coalitions and candidate recruitment for the 1776 Project PAC, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“Conservatives flipped at least nine school boards in at least six states — Michigan, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, and Florida — giving them conservative majorities,” The Daily Wire added.

From Daily Caller:

Results of school board elections from Nov. 8 are still being reported but the 1776 Project PAC is beginning to see victories; in Brandywine, Michigan, four 1776 Project PAC candidates won, flipping the school board to a conservative majority, according to the 1776 Project PAC. All three 1776 Project PAC candidates running for Carroll County school board in Maryland won, shifting the majority of the school board.

Five Florida school board candidates endorsed by the 1776 Project PAC won their elections on Tuesday, the 1776 Project PAC reported.

Across 15 states, Moms for Liberty endorsed more than 270 school board candidates up for election on Nov. 8, according to their website. Of the seats open in Florida school board elections, Moms for Liberty candidates won 41 of the 67 seats available, the organization told the DCNF.

“We’re thrilled,” Tiffany Justice, Moms for Liberty co-founder, told the DCNF. “We were able to endorse over 500 parental rights candidates so far this year with 270 on the ballot yesterday. For us, starting an organization a little less than two years ago, and then having chapters across the country that have vetted and endorsed candidates in 270 races was a really big deal. That was an accomplishment in and of itself.”

So far, Moms for Liberty was able to notch victories in Indiana, South Carolina and North Carolina; three endorsed candidates won in Tipton, Indiana, while 13 endorsed candidates won school board positions across four different North Carolina school districts, the organization told the DCNF.

The Daily Wire added:

Over the summer, conservative school board candidates, including some endorsed by DeSantis, won their races and flipped school boards to conservative majorities in five counties, including some traditionally blue areas like Miami-Dade and Sarasota.

In recent months, Florida has been the epicenter of the education culture war in some respects. Back in March, DeSantis signed a parental rights bill that prohibits classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through 3rd grade.

The Republican school board wins this week and earlier this year point to parents becoming an activated voter bloc. The victories may also point to a larger trend of conservatives gaining the upper hand nationally in the education debate.

One of the first signs of parents taking their frustrations to the ballot box came last fall when Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin flipped the state’s governorship. Youngkin won his gubernatorial race after emphasizing parental rights during his campaign. At the time, there was some question as to whether that enthusiasm from parents would fizzle out.

It remains to be seen whether this level of energy from parents will continue through to the 2024 elections.
