New Applications For Loan Forgiveness HALTED

I was not-so-secretly hoping it would fail!

We recently reported that Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan was struck down by the court; however, Karine Jean-Pierre indicated that they would continue the fight.

Since that time, new applications for student loan forgiveness have come to a complete standstill—just 2 days after the midterm elections!

Biden’s administration clearly announced this plan as a way for them to buy votes, with the clear understanding that the plan would never actually come to fruition: Biden does not have the power to cancel the debt.

Part of me wants to say this is a massive victory for personal responsibility, but Biden’s administration knew this proposed scheme wouldn’t hold up. That being said, where were the parents when all of this was going down?

Why is it almost ubiquitous to encourage and send children into 5 and 6-figure debt for an ‘education’? The culture needs to change. Adults have to do the job of actually raising the children, rather than allowing the state to raise them…

Government schools produce government children and put them on a prison-to-debt pipeline. The public schools are physical, intellectual, and spiritual prisons that put the children on a conveyor belt to higher education and thus, debt.

They’re also the largest Marxist training camps in the world. If we want to end the liberal-progressive disease in this country, defunding public education is the quickest route…

After all, there is no sense in constantly fighting over a hill, when just beyond that hill there is a depot manufacturing more of what plagues us, we need to hit the depot, not fight endlessly over the hill.

Here’s what everyone is saying:

The Epoch Times confirmed:

“Courts have issued orders blocking our student debt relief program. As a result, at this time, we are not accepting applications,” the administration’s webpage for the program states.

The Department of Education did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Reuters had more on the ruling:

In his 26-page ruling, Pittman said it was irrelevant if Biden’s plan was good public policy because the program was “one of the largest exercises of legislative power without congressional authority in the history of the United States.”

Pittman wrote that the HEROES Act – a law that provides loan assistance to military personnel and that was relied upon by the Biden administration to enact the relief plan – did not authorize the $400 billion student loan forgiveness program.
