Republican Anna Paulina Luna is aiming to turn a blue US House seat red as she runs for the open seat in Florida’s 13th Congressional District against Democrat Eric Lynn.
The seat is vacant because Democrat Charlie Crist resigned his seat to run for governor against Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Majority of polls have closed in the state at 7 p.m. local time. Given the state has multiple timezones, the first polls have closed at 7 p.m. EST and the last polls close at 8 p.m. EST.
Republicans have already posted tremendous success in the Sunshine State Tuesday night.
Senator Marco Rubio is the projected winner against Democrat Val Demings.
