MSNBC Host Blindsides Kathy Hochul on Crime in NY: “We Don’t feel Safe”

Kathy Hochul‘s time as New York governor may be coming to a sudden end, especially if the propaganda machine continues to turn on her.

Hochul went on MSNBC to spew her usual lies about President Donald Trump, Lee Zeldin, and crime in New York.

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle tried to get Hochul to verbally communicate what she planned to do about crime in the state, something her opponent Lee Zeldin already promised to make a top priority.

Hochul simply stated that she has always been tough on crime, then went on with her usual talking points about getting guns off the streets.

The MSNBC host wasn’t having it though, and immediately interrupted Hochul:

“Okay, I’m gonna interrupt you then,” Ruhle said.

“Here’s the problem. We don’t feel safe. You might be working closely with Mayor Adams, you may have spent a whole lot of money, but I walk into my pharmacy, and everything is on lockdown because of shoplifters. I’m not going in the subway. People don’t feel safe in this town. So you may have done these things, but right now, we’re not feeling good. We’re worried we could be San Francisco.”

Hochul seemed stunned at how blunt Ruhle was.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, Hochul’s face said far more than she ever could verbally.

“Well, what New Yorkers care about is their health, their safety, their wellbeing,” Ruhle told Hochul after the governor tried saying voters should care about Zeldin’s ties to former President Donald J. Trump. “Crime is clearly the reason this race has gotten so much tighter. Lee Zeldin has made it clear. He would address crime by making bail adjustments and … getting rid of Manhattan [District Attorney] Alvin Bragg. You do not want to do those things. What three things would you do, would you commit to, to address public safety?”

Hochul obfuscated and claimed that she has always cared about crime, that she is is focusing on getting guns off the streets, is working to put cameras on subways, and keep mentally insane people off of public transportation.

The answer wasn’t cutting it for the host.

“Okay, I’m gonna interrupt you then,” Ruhle rebutted. “Here’s the problem. We don’t feel safe. Hochul wasn’t expecting this:

Hochul eventually fired back, but her response left much to be desired.

She surmised that “it doesn’t matter what’s happening in other cities or other states.”

‘We’ll never be San Francisco,’ Hochul fired back. She said the ‘most heinous’ crimes, meaning homicides, and shootings were actually down compared to this time last year.

Hochul added that she was taking steps to tackle increases in crime in other categories, but Ruhle wasn’t satisfied.

‘It doesn’t matter what’s happening in other cities or other states. The reason people don’t feel safe in New York is why they’re starting to say, can Kathy Hochul be the right governor, right? It doesn’t really matter what’s happening in Pennsylvania or San Francisco, you need to get New Yorkers’` votes. And safety is a top issue for us.’

That’s the biggest non-answer Hochul could give.

Again, her face said far more.
