“Last night, the FBI & Phoenix Police, along w/ hazmat & bomb squad units, responded to an incident involving ‘suspicious items’ at Kari Lake’s campaign HQ, according to Phx Police,” NBC News Correspondent Vaughn Hillyard tweeted.
“A source familiar says white powdery substance was mailed in two envelopes.”
We're told a Lake campaign staffer opened one of the envelopes & was exposed to the material — this individual has not reported any symptoms/injuries.

Daily Mail reported:
Law enforcement was at the offices in Phoenix from 10pm to 5am after Lake’s team was sent two envelopes with the substance and abusive messages.
Her campaign believes this was a ‘terroristic attack, trying to intimidate Kari and the campaign staff’.
A source familiar with the campaign told DailyMail.com: ‘Yesterday, one of Kari’s staffers opened up an envelope that had a suspicious white powder in it and had a letter in there with a bunch of vulgarities and ranting and raving about Kari.
‘The employee then noticed second package that was exactly like the first one she had opened and she reported it.’
A hazmat team and the bomb squad also responded and the FBI took then substance away for analysis.
In a statement to DailyMail.com, the Phoenix Police Department confirmed the suspicious packages and said they were investigating.
Sergeant Phil Krynsky said: ‘Officers responded to a found property call at an office building near 40th Street and Camelback Road. When officers arrived they learned there were suspicious items located inside the mail. Additional resources responded to collect the items and secure the area.
‘There have been no reports of injury and the investigation remains active’.
Cont. from The Blaze:
Lake campaign spokesman Colton Duncan told CNN, “It was one of two envelopes that were confiscated by law enforcement and sent to professionals at Quantico for examination, and we are awaiting details. The staff member is currently under medical supervision.”
Duncan declared, “In the meantime, know that our resolve has never been higher, and we cannot be intimidated. We continue to push full speed ahead to win this election on Tuesday.”
According to a FOX 10 InsiderAdvantage Poll, Kari Lake leads Katie Hobbs by three percentage points heading into Tuesday’s Arizona gubernatorial election.
With just days to go before voters head to the polls, Republican Kari Lake is leading Democrat Katie Hobbs by 3 percentage points. Roughly 1% of voters are either undecided or have no opinion. Last week, the same InsiderAdvantage poll showed Lake up by 11 points. Pollster, Matt Towery, believes it may have been an anomaly. He says in this latest poll, Lake is leading among self-identifying Independents by roughly 7 points.
