The new Twitter is a real hit.
Under Elon Musk’s leadership, Twitter is already fact-checking the lies spread by the Biden Administration.
The official White House Twitter account falsely credited Joe Biden for giving seniors the biggest increase in Social Security checks in a decade.
Truth be told, the increase was mandated by law due to the the record increase in inflation.
Twitter fact-checked the tweet on Monday, causing embarrassment to those involved.
The tweet was deleted early Tuesday.
Nice try Biden..
His administration might have gotten away with that on the old Twitter, but there’s a new sheriff in town now.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about the deleted tweet and her answer left something to be desired…
The Daily Wire shared a screenshot of the now-deleted tweet:

Daily Mail has more on the White House’s embarrassing tweet:
The White House was forced into an embarrassing Twitter climbdown on Wednesday, deleting a tweet that claimed President Joe Biden was responsible for seniors getting the biggest increase in Social Security checks in a decade.
As fact checkers were quick to point out, the increase is based on the rate of inflation and required by law.
At first, Twitter added a note to the original Monday afternoon tweet.
By Tuesday lunchtime the message had been deleted.

Fox News also covered the story:
The White House tweet was accompanied by a note from Twitter that said many readers were adding “context” to the WH message that said the rise in Social Security payments was “due to the annual cost of living adjustment, which is based on the inflation rate.”
Twitter adds “context” notes when they are rated highly enough by Twitter users, a point that Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, stressed Wednesday morning.
“The community notes feature is awesome. Our goal is to make Twitter the most accurate source of information on Earth, without regard to political affiliation,” Musk said.
When pressed on the matter, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed the tweet was “not complete:”

"It was not complete. It did not have context." pic.twitter.com/AXQadyWPOm

Conservatives poked fun of the Biden Administration after they deleted the tweet as well:
This is funny.

Why did the White House delete this tweet? If Biden wants “credit” for inflation, he has it! pic.twitter.com/TC71aBYVpR

Incredible
The White House’s dumb tweet celebrating the increase in social security checks gets a Twitter fact-check — because they left out the fact that the increase was caused by inflation. pic.twitter.com/6fCC3ZlMQK
