Big news for Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters (R)!
In addition to his recent surge in the polls, Masters got a huge lift by receiving the endorsement of Libertarian candidate Marc Victor.
In the latest FOX 10 poll released on October 26th, Victor polled at 6%.
Incumbent Democrat Mark Kelly polled at 45%, while Masters polled at 43%.
From FOX 10:
A new FOX 10 InsiderAdvantage poll shows the race for Governor – widening a bit. But the race for U.S. Senate is turning into a dead heat.
With less than 2 weeks to go before the November election, Republican Kari Lake leads Democrat Katie Hobbs by 11 percentage points. Only about 2% of voters are undecided. Pollster Matt Towery believes that Hobbs’ reluctance to debate Lake may be a reason why the gap has widened in recent weeks. According to InsiderAdvantage, Lake is polling higher among older adults and Hispanics.
Senate race

Marc Victor dropped from the Senate race on Monday and endorsed Blake Masters.
That’s a tremendous lift for Masters heading into next week’s election.
“Marc Victor, the Libertarian candidate running for Senate in Arizona, is dropping out and endorsing Blake Masters, the Republican nominee,” The New York Times tweeted.
“Masters called the endorsement ‘another major boost of momentum.'”

Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate Marc Victor said Tuesday he was ending his campaign and asking his supporters to back Republican Blake Masters in a move that could nudge a narrow slice of voters in a race already expected to be close.
Victor, an attorney whose campaign to oust Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., was always a long shot, held a one-on-one conversation with Masters on Monday that convinced him the best option for people who share his outlook this year is Masters.
“At my invitation, Blake Masters and I had an unscripted, open, and recorded discussion and exchange of ideas on a variety of issues,” Victor said in a written statement. That ranged from tax and economic policy to the Federal Reserve and same-sex marriage, he said.
“I found Blake to be generally supportive of the Live and Let Live Global Peace Movement. Likewise, we found ourselves in general agreement about how to improve America and to advance the cause of freedom and peace. After that discussion, I believe it is in the best interests of freedom and peace to withdraw my candidacy and enthusiastically support Blake Masters for United States Senate. I intend to assist in any way reasonably possible to elect Blake.”
