While Katy Perry performed the final show of her Las Vegas residency PLAY, a strange incident occurred on stage.

In a viral video, Perry appeared to suffer from facial paralysis, Bell’s palsy, or “clone malfunction.”

The clip shows Perry’s right eyelid closing four times before she opens it by touching her temple.

Here’s the footage:

There’s speculation all over the internet about what caused the incident.

Some people said it was a clone issue, while others blamed the experimental COVID-19 shot.

One user commented it was the “Eye of the Pfizer.”

Here are some other comments from Twitter users:

Katy Perry called this her “wonk eye” as early as 2021.

From Newsweek:

Katy Perry comforted a crying American Idol contestant on Sunday by discussing what she calls her “wonk eye.”

While fans of the “Teenage Dream” singer may be familiar with the phrase, some American Idol viewers were left scratching their heads after the revelation.

It began when 16-year-old contestant Caleb Kennedy from South Carolina told his mentor Bobby Bones that he wore large hats to distract from his lazy eye, which he has had since birth.

Perry, 36, went to acknowledge some of her own insecurities to comfort the young contestant, who impressed with his rendition of Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again.”

“I have a wonk eye as well, and I used to be worried about it,” she shared. “Then a bunch of my fans created a fandom over my wonk-eye. I even have a fandom that calls itself, ‘Katy’s wonk-eye.’”

She added: “It’s my right eye. So just celebrate all that stuff. Don’t worry about it.”

On Thursday, the pop star said the viral clip was part of the show and just a gimmick.

Perry shared a video on Instagram, saying the moment was a “party trick.”

Welcoming all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntbluers to come see my broken doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year!

CNN reported:

Telling fans what they can expect, the Grammy-nominated artist continued, “The show’s set list is a fun through memory lane going all the way back to 2008, a time when we weren’t all frozen by the paranoia of our own echo chambers!.”

She continued: “This show is a nonstop party about finding unconditional love and strangely (for me) not political at all, heck I pour beer out of my tits (that’s a party trick too… I don’t actually lactate hops silly goose!) Hope to sing along with you in 2023! And we’ll drink, this one’s on me, cause we’re all #chainedtothealgorithm #therealproblemlolhaha.”

People had fun in the comment section, with one replying, “So ur telling me ur not a robot, a real life doll, or in the Illuminati???”

However, not everyone is buying Perry’s reasoning.

The Gateway Pundit noted:

“This post seems like a distraction,” one responded on her post.

One commented, “Obviously, that was not a party trick. She knew exactly what to do to get the lid open, and it kept closing. I look for her “taking a break” in order to get treatment, or cancelling dates if treatment does not work.”

“Sorry, as a Doctor my first thought was of a minor stroke. It’s highly possible, but there are several other possibilities ranging from simple muscle spasm to drug reaction,” another said.
