Lebron James appears to be afraid of free speech…

In his latest tweet, Lebron James was quoted saying “I don’t know Elon Musk and, tbh, I could care less who owns Twitter. But I will say that if this is true, I hope he and his people take this very seriously because this is scary AF.”

James’ tweet was in response to a fake news report which claimed the “n-word” is now being used by a a large number of users on Twitter.

Musk responded to James’ tweet with a quote from Twitter’s Head of Safety & Integrity which read “Nearly all of these accounts are inauthentic. We’ve taken action to ban the users involved in this trolling campaign — and are going to continue working to address this in the days to come to make Twitter safe and welcoming for everyone.”

Fox Business added these details:

Elon Musk, the new “Chief Twit” at social media giant Twitter, has responded to LeBron James’ concerns about the reported sudden increase in racial slurs being posted on the social media platform.

Musk, who recently acquired Twitter in a $44 billion deal, replied to James on Sunday with a retweet of the response of the company’s head of safety and integrity, Yoel Roth, regarding the reported surge in slurs and derogatory terms posted on the site.

Roth wrote that the increase came over the last 48 hours from “a small number” of accounts posting “a ton of tweets.”

“More than 50,000 Tweets repeatedly using a particular slur came from just 300 accounts,” Roth tweeted.

“Nearly all of these accounts are inauthentic,” Roth continued. “We’ve taken action to ban the users involved in this trolling campaign — and are going to continue working to address this in the days to come to make Twitter safe and welcoming for everyone.”

The Daily Mail dropped these details:

Elon Musk responded to Lakers star LeBron James’ concerns over the reported ‘scary AF’ surge in hate speech on Twitter since his $44billion takeover of the app.

James took to the social media platform to express his concerns over the reported rise in racial slurs being tweeted.

The NBA superstar quote tweeted another post that shared a link to report that the use of the N-word had increased by nearly 500 percent, according to a social media research group, via The Washington Post.

The 37-year-old claimed he could not care who owned the company but urged Musk and Twitter to take the matter seriously.

James posted: ‘I dont know Elon Musk and, tbh, I could care less who owns twitter. But I will say that if this is true, I hope he and his people take this very seriously because this is scary AF. So many damn unfit people saying hate speech is free speech.’

The Tesla CEO responded to James by quote tweeting a post from Twitter’s Head of Safety & Integrity Yoel Roth, which claimed a majority of the accounts posting the hateful speech were ‘inauthentic’.
