Corruption runs deep.
So does incompetence.
We’ll let you be the judge of which one this story falls under.
A George Soros-appointed prosecutor “mistakenly” released a murder suspect last week in Virginia.
Loudoun County prosecutor Buta Biberaj temporarily dropped charges against 25-year-old Stone Colburn, who is accused of stabbing a woman to death last year.
Allegedly, the charges were only dropped so that a new set of charges could be placed on Colburn by the Loudoun County Circuit Court in order to declare him mentally fit to stand trial.
Attorneys claim that one of the deputies failed to get a judge to approve the new charges before dropping the old ones, which allowed Colburn to skip town.
Fortunately, Colburn was apprehended the following day in Georgia.
This whole story raises some serious red flags about the justice system…

The Washington Free Beacon reported on the alleged mistake:
A George Soros-backed prosecutor in Virginia mistakenly freed a man charged with murder who was apprehended the following day in Georgia.
The office of Loudoun County prosecutor Buta Biberaj (D.) on Thursday dropped second-degree murder charges in general district court for 25-year-old Stone Colburn, who last year was accused of stabbing his brother’s girlfriend to death. Biberaj’s office dropped charges in an effort for the Loudoun County Circuit Court to declare Colburn mentally fit to stand trial. Biberaj said the district court was on the verge of committing him to a mental hospital.
But one of Biberaj’s deputies failed to get those new charges approved by a judge before dropping the old ones, attorneys say, which forced the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office to release Colburn. Colburn skipped town after his release and had made it almost 600 miles away before he was apprehended Friday by police in Chatham County, Ga.
The Loudoun County Sheriff put out this statement following the suspect’s release:
The LCSO is asking for the public’s assistance to help locate 25-year-old Stone L. Colburn.

WUSA 9 dives into what caused this mistaken release:
According to a release from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Colburn was released from the Loudoun jail after the Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney stopped pursuing his murder charge in General District Court.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, which runs the jail, contends the charge placed against Colburn in that court, for allegedly concealing a dead body, was filed Friday.
“The information that we had indicated that this guy was free to go but we’re still looking through all of our documents to see exactly what fell through the cracks,” Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said. “We just want to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
However, court records provided by Biberaj’s office show the concealment charge was actually filed Thursday, before her office requested “nolle prosequi” on Colburn’s murder charge in General District Court.
Biberaj said her office decided to stop pursuing the murder charge because it was concerned the judge may have ruled that Colburn was too incompetent to stand trial in court.
