Joy Reid Suggests DeSantis’ Warning to Looters is a ‘Segregationist’ Racist Threat

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis put would-be looters on notice after the catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Ian.

He warned potential looters may get more than they bargained for if they attempt to break into homes impacted by the storm.

“We are a law and order state, and this is a law and order community,” DeSantis said at the Friday press conference.

“So do not think that you’re going to take advantage of people who’ve suffered misery.”

“Don’t even think about looting. Don’t even think about taking advantage of people in this vulnerable situation. And so local law enforcement is involved in monitoring that,” DeSantis added.

“You can have people you know bringing boats into some of these islands and trying to ransack people’s homes. I can tell you, in the state of Florida, you never know what may be lurking behind somebody’s home, and I would not wanna chance that if I were you, given that we’re a Second Amendment state.

MSNBC host Joy Reid lashed out at the comments and accused DeSantis of making a racist threat.

“When the looting starts, the shooting starts.”—segregationist Miami sheriff Walter E. Headley, 1967,” Reid said.

“Didn’t take DeSantis long to return to form.”

Will anyone call out Joy Reid for her racist remarks?

Apparently, Reid only thinks black people loot?

This adds to a string of disgusting, racist comments from Democrats in the days following Hurricane Ian.
