Asking about the mental acuity of an alleged sitting US president about to turn 80 years old seems like a fair question.
The folks over at 60 Minutes recently asked Joe Biden that very question.
Biden was asked about criticism from those who question his mental focus, and how he’d rate it himself.
His response was …interesting.
Trending: Out of Shadows – Documentary
Biden was first asked what he thought about when people questioned him mentally.
His response was simply “Watch me.”
That was an interesting answer in itself.
Trust us Joe.. We ARE watching you.
He then said “The proof of the pudding is in the eating.”
Things got more interesting when Biden was asked how he thought his mental focus was.
“Oh, it’s focused,” Biden said before awkwardly laughing and stammering over his words.
He then delivered this beauty of a quote:
“I no more think of myself as being as old as I am than fly.”
Say what now?…
Someone get a translator:
Biden on his mental focus: “Oh focused. Hahaha I’d say it’s, it is I haven’t… here, look. I have trouble even mentioning, even saying to myself, in my head, the number of years. I no more think of myself being old as I am than fly.”pic.twitter.com/4UKPIZElZg

Here’s more on Joe Biden’s comments during the 60 Minutes interview from our friends over at Daily Wire:
“Watch me. And ma– honest to God, that’s all I think. Watch me,” Biden responded. “If you think I don’t have the energy level or the mental acuity, then– then, you know, that’s one thing. It’s another thing, you just watch and– and, you know, keep my schedule. Do what I’m doing. I– I think that– you know– I don’t– when I sit down with our NATO allies and keep ’em together, I don’t have ’em saying, ‘Wait a minute, w– how– how old are you? What are you– what say?’”
“You know, I mean, it’s a matter of, you know, that old expression: The proof of the pudding’s in the eating,” Biden continued. “I mean, I– I– I respect the fact that people would say, you know, “You’re old.” And– but I think it relates to h– how much energy you have, and whether or not the job you’re doing is one consistent with what any person of any age would be able to do.”
Give Joe Biden lemons, and he’ll drop them on the floor and slip and fall on them…
The responses online were great:

JOE BIDEN: *nervous wheeze*

Pelley's question about mental focus and then Biden's scattered answer is amazing.
He is right. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. https://t.co/wEwgYSW58C

Isn't it wild just how much the media focused on Trump's "cognitive decline" when he was president, going as far as calling him "dementia-ridden", yet even now he seems far more with it than Joe Biden and there isn't the same attention given to Joe Biden's mental state?

How much worse is this going to get before Biden is removed from his position?

If nothing else, this will be included in the supercut of Biden gaffes for 2022.
Maybe it will even top 2021:
