Florida Man Allegedly Tried To Buy Little Girl For $100,000

A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly tried to buy a little girl inside a grocery store.

According to the Port Orange Police Department Hellmuth Kolb attempted to buy a little girl from her parents for $100,000.

After the parents were approached by Kolb they immediately called the police which initiated an investigation that led to Kolb’s arrest.

Kolb is already a registered sex offender and was currently on probation.

Florida police say that a man allegedly tried to “purchase” a young girl from her parents at a grocery store for $100,000.

The original incident happened on Aug. 16 at the Port Orange Winn Dixie grocery store when Hellmuth Kolb allegedly attempted to purchase the child away from per parents, according to the Port Orange Police Department.

Police opened an investigation into the incident after the parents notified them about the incident.

Kolb was arrested on Aug. 25 and taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail, according to police.

The original incident happened on Aug. 16 when Hellmuth Kolb allegedly attempted to purchase the female child for $100,000.00 at Port Orange Winn Dixie grocery store and was “insistent” on making the exchange, according to the Port Orange Police Department.

Police also said that Klob, who is a registered sex offender, is on probation for “similar issues,” and is not allowed to have any contact with minor children.

“Mr. Kolb should have simply stuck to just grocery shopping. Thanks to our SIU, Mr. Kolb did receive a complimentary ride in one of our air-conditioned Police cars, and a free stay at Hotel 92 [Volusia County Branch Jail],” police said in the Facebook post.

Hellmuth Kolb is currently on probation for a similar crime, after he was convicted of offering a woman $200,000 for her daughter in a Walmart parking lot in 2018. https://t.co/bUI8f1WNI1

A Florida sex offender was arrested after he allegedly tried to “purchase” an 8-year-old girl for $100,000 at a grocery store, police said.

Hellmuth Kolb, 85, approached the child’s mom at a Winn Dixie in Port Orange Thursday and made the indecent proposal, according to the Port Orange Police Department.

Kolb was on probation and was banned from having contact with children after trying to buy a different child in Walmart in 2018, according to WESH-TV.

Lauren Benning told the station she thought Kolb was just a lonely old man when he approached her and her daughter.

“He just came up and he started making comments about how pretty she was and how good her dancing was and how he could never have children and he wanted children,” Benning reportedly said.

But the interaction soon took a dark turn, Benning told the station.
