The big news this week is the FBI raid on President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on Monday.
The alleged reason for the raid was the seizure of classified White House documents held at the resort.
Legal experts are now questioning whether those reasons were valid.
“Based on what we now know, it was totally unjustified,” said Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz.

Dershowitz also added that the Biden Administration had weaponized the justice system:
“A raid is supposed to be a last resort, but this administration has used the weaponization of the justice system against its political enemies.”
Rudy Giuliani called it “an absolute disgrace,” saying he feels “embarrassment as an American.”
Giuliani continued:
“We don’t have justice in America anymore, they’ve trashed it. This is the Biden police state. A sad night for America.”

Fox News has more on the legal debate:
Legal scholars are questioning whether the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida home over classified White House documents was necessary.
Some experts told Fox News Digital the basis for the raid, which centers on Trump’s purported failure to hand over potentially classified documents to the National Archives, is unprecedented.
“Based on what we now know, it was totally unjustified, even one FBI agent would have been too many,” said Alan Dershowitz, a professor at Harvard Law School who served on Trump’s legal team for the president’s first impeachment case. “The whole process was wrong and Trump was away at the time, so they can’t say he was going to destroy anything.”
Legal scholars note that when individuals previously violated the law regarding classified documents, the Justice Department has opted to either not prosecute or settle for lesser charges.
“The Presidential Records Act is not commonly a subject of criminal prosecution, even in the most egregious cases,” said Jonathan Turley, a professor at the George Washington University Law School. “These incidents have generally been handled administratively.”

Executing a warrant against ex-POTUS is dangerous. The apparent political weaponization of DOJ/FBI is shameful. AG must explain why 250 yrs of practice was upended w/ this raid. I served on Benghazi Com where we proved Hilliary possessed classified info. We didn’t raid her home

We won’t know how fully insane the FBI raid on Trump is until we see the warrant and warrant application. But after Russiagate – years of investigation predicated largely on Clinton campaign misinformation — if the basis for this isn’t bedrock-solid, there should be hell to pay.

Raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago home was 'totally unjustified', legal experts say https://t.co/Kwi51fuo8P

Trump ally and lawyer Rudy Giuliani agreed, calling the FBI raid “an absolute disgrace.”
Daily Mail has more from Giuliani:
Trump’s longtime friend and former attorney Rudy Giuliani said the raid on the former president’s home is ‘an absolute disgrace’ and he feels ’embarrassment as an American’.
Speaking on WABC Radio’s ‘The Rita Cosby Show’ on Monday night, Giuliani slammed the raid as ‘phony’ and said it ‘goes way beyond politics.’
He said: ‘It’s a very, very sad night for America, and for me personally, who has spent many years of my life in the justice department at the lowest and the highest levels and worked very closely with the FBI to put some of the worst criminals of the 20th century in jail.
‘I am ashamed of the leadership of the FBI and the Department of Justice, ashamed of two great institutions. They will go down in history as probably the two worst attorney general and FBI directors.’
‘We don’t have justice in America anymore, they’ve trashed it. This is the Biden police state. A sad night for America,’ he added.
The general consensus is clear.
This has all been done in attempt to disqualify President Trump from running for office again.
They really do fear him that much…
The FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate is specifically designed to stop him from running for president again in 2024, legal experts have concluded.https://t.co/VdkOetIKGR

It doesn't matter what the FBI warrant for Trump says.
The *actual* reason for the raid was to try to stop him from running in 2024.
We know it's a sham. They know it's a sham. https://t.co/CPHt5QobFv

The paradoxical aspect of the raid is that it signals that the entrenched powers are willing to do absolutely anything to prevent Trump's winning again, and yet the very audacity of it makes his admirers (myself included) even more inclined to support him if he were to run. https://t.co/GU2prmQBXh

The FBI just completed an unannounced raid of President Trump's home at Mar-A-Lago. America is devolving into a Third-World Nation and this latest escalation by Merrick Garland and the Biden Regime should shock every single American—regardless of who you voted for in 2020. Wow.

Joe Biden promised to unify our country and then he raided Mar-a-Lago.
He's a thug.
