Fauci Says He Never Called for COVID-19 Lockdowns, Here are the Receipts That Show Otherwise (WATCH)

Dr. Anthony Fraudci attempted Monday to rewrite history and claim he never recommended for nationwide COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020.

“When asked on The Hill’s “Rising” whether he would still recommend shutting down schools and businesses given the known negative effects they’ve had, Fauci denied ever pushing for lockdowns,” Infowars noted.

“First of all, I didn’t recommend locking anything down…you’re talking about, the CDC is the public health agency that uses their epidemiologists and their science-based approach to make recommendations,” Fauci said.

“Clearly, whenever you close schools, there are collateral effects that are negative. I have always been well aware of that.”

However, Fauci’s statement contradicted what he said in October 2020.

“I recommended to the president that we shut the country down,” Fauci had said, citing “community spread” that had not yet “exploded.”

“That was a difficult decision because I knew it would have serious economic consequences, which it did,” he said, adding that the lockdowns didn’t mitigate the spread of COVID because they supposedly weren’t harsh enough.

Fauci’s denial illustrates how brutal COVID-19 lockdowns were, as they devastated the economy, physical and mental health, small businesses, and childhood development.

And they did nothing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
